TigerLord: Fanboys, like me and most of us here, are often trying to rationalize things and won't be comfortable with facing facts or truth we don't want to face.

This is one of them.

IScorchI: I think its hilarious how quick you are to brand me a fanboy, considering that I have myself experienced quite a few issues that have been brought up. Being completely unable to download any DLC being one of them. Just because I am slightly less ragey about the issues with the game than most posts lately on the forum does not make me a fanboy, don't be so quick to assume. I am not about to jump on a bandwagon with the rest of you, and I will state my opinion.

You can point fingers and accuse all you want, this thread started as an attempt at actually trying to get people to show their appreciation and support, in an attempt to balance out the massively negative threads I had seen all day.

But since most people want to nitpick what I said I guess I failed in that respect. Oh well, not that it matters all that much.
are you saying that we should leave the game along and never try to get it fixed? because you dont like hearing nitpicks .. as you call it?
This game, in my book, deserves a solid 8.6/10. It's a good game, a great game, even. I do no regret buying it.

But you can't deny the signs that a console version was planned all along and they kept this expansion into the console market in mind when designing the game. This results in some clunky design choices and mechanics that were completely absent in the first game.

I'm sorry if you can't see it.

PS. We're all fanboys by definition for even coming on this board and debating a game we like. Ordinary folks don't care about forums.

Nitpicking what I said, not the game cloud. Once again you are taking what I said out of context.

Criticism of the game is great, it points out flaws that can be fixed, but again, I have seen plenty of posts making a massive issue out of a small problem, and acting like they will never buy or support CDPR again. I just wish those people would look at the game a little more as a whole, that doesn't mean they should completely ignore issues, as fixing them would make the whole even better.

Tiger: True enough on the fanboy point, but I suppose its all relative. :P
Well, it only has 16x9 native support from the outset (which is what console gamers play at on their TVs). That alone makes you wonder.

That being said, I really don't care if a game was designed for consoles first, or with consoles in mind for the future if it's a great game... and this is a great game.

many of us are looking at the game as a whole. we just are telling the scaled down. hell we would not be posting any of this if we did not like the game. many of us have stated we love the game and we give it high marks already and we are just giving out thoughts on what would make those marks higher

you are right, but people saying a pc game is consolised is starting to annoy me alot...why does it really matter if it's consolised or not, the game is still freaking great....you people just need to stop trying to find little things that you can bash on and enjoy the game and shut the hell up.

let me just say i Freaking hate you. no one is bashing anything and its you that's annoying me. calling everything bashing. i bet if i shook your girlfriends hand you will be thinking i just raped her.
This console talk needs to stop. Whether you like it or not, TW2 took influence from console games and it's for the better. The UI is wonderfully designed and the combat is straight out of Demon's Souls and Batman: Arkham Asylum, both of which are fantastic games, with a healthy dose of the Witcher lore. A good game is a good game regardless of it's platform. So what if a controller works well with it? How can anyone say this game is scaled down? The environments are still very large and are richly detailed. It puts Crysis, the holy grail of pc graphics, to shame. The kb/m setup works just as well. The game doesn't hold your hand at all and for that I am eternally grateful.

To those saying they've played a PC action rpg with better combat...please name names because I can't wait to laugh and tear down whatever you'll possibly mention.

Cheers to the op. This game is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite games.

Because these little things are in the way of my full enjoyment of this game?

Alright, I'll bite. Tell me how you'd make it better. If any part of your answer involves a grid for the inventory then don't bother. Please don't fill your post with hyperbole, either.

make the ui have smaller font, so they can fit more in without having to scroll. Radical menus that you navigate with your mouse are not fun.

allow us to Choose if we want a grid. it worked great for the first game, so i dont see what you have against a grid but personally i dont really want a grid

give more information, the game has a lack of numbers such as a health number.

allow us to navigate the screen like the last game by pressing a button (shift in the last game). so on and soforth

Come on man...it definitely did not work great in the first game. I wouldn't have a problem with some of your other suggestions. I don't see the need for numbers for health. What more info do you need? There's plenty of character numbers and an ingame box with combat statistics.

The radial menu is very, very easy to navigate. Personally, the last thing I look for in a UI is if it's fun. I want ease of use above all. Some areas could be improved but overall, it's far from horrible.

the inventory system is one of the best in the first game i ever seen!
