cloud8521: but most of the things being said does not mean they think its a bad game either they just think things can be changed for the better. just because something is negative does not mean they hate the game at all. while it was designed with a console style to it, it can be fixed easily and you all may like it even better with more changes and updates made.

just because a game is great does not mean we cant make it better together.

BlazeKING: Oh I totally agree...I hope mod tools are released soon so the community can get to work on making this more pc friendly.

These things shouldn't distract from enjoying the game. I play with bars on the monitor I'm using now because the game runs smoother than on my 46" tv , but I'm not going to give the game a shitty rating because of bars on my screen or a consolized UI/inventory/qte's. If the game sucked I'd give it a 6/10, but it doesn't suck..the game itself is great. The issues with this game are minor and hopefully will be fixed.
i give it a 7/10 because i feel these changes are important but when made they would see an easy 9/10. and from me thats the best i have ever gave any game.

but i want to see the devs fix it. because they will keep it most true to their vision then modders who always add extra things i never want. like one mod i got totally make the game too easy, another game me too much gold. and another basically unlocked the game :|. i still belive in CDR to make their game better with our support.

I really do think we are the majority because this game is really something special, and anyone who can't see that.. well, too bad for them I guess.

i dont think many people dont see it that way most of us just want slight changes that will make it go from special to amazing.

Honestly, how the hell can you conclude that a game not even released on console, which was developed for PC first, and has features and technologies that a console would not be able to handle without significant optimization and dumbing down a consolized game?!

Sure, the game has its flaws, and I will be the first to point them out so that CDProjekt can fix them quicker (the funny but true "Why I hate this game" thread comes to mind), but the game is awesome and I am having a blast with it. The issues with the game will eventually be fixed if CDProjekt's past handling of game problems are anything to go by (the Enhanced Edition patch for Witcher 1 comes to mind).

Keep doing what you do CDProjekt, a lot of us are behind you all the way.

you love the game and you see things that you think can be fixed right? or do you honestly see nothing that can be fixed in the game

most people you say arr complaining are trying to find way that the game can be made better without people even looking you will never get a EE. the EEcame because of things like this.

tretoso: Dude. Your intention is good but is waste of time. PC purist living in imaginary world where hate everything make them especial. They will hate the game even without any of these features. They hate Starcraft 2 because is traditional, they hate Dawn of War 2 because is innovative. Never was and never will be because of the features.
I think most of us complaining are doing so because we actually like and care about the game. And hope that future products wont be affected by the same problems.
As for me this is probably my favorite rpg of 2010/2011 at the moment, but if they ever do another rpg I want a longer one, with a better ui, more key customizations and no bad quality grid shadows please.

I don't usually post to forums but I have to say this: The Witcher 2 is simply one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. And that's all that matters to me. I am not saying that it's perfect because it's not. But it's VERY close. Some things need to be fixed sure, and I expect they will.
Now I somehow have to find the will to play Dragon Age 2 that I have sitting on the shelf. It's going to be tough after the Witcher 2. I am spoiled...

Amazing. The most devoted Bioware fan wrote this for us at TW2 thread in Social Bioware Forums: (And she was one that defended DA2 when most of us there said that Origins put DA2 to shame - we converted her to be a Witcherette!!!)

I'm 47, never owned a console in my life, been playing PC games only since good old Diablo 1 back in 1997 (pre-release demo in Dec 96 hooked me) and this is the abso-fraking-lutely BEST PC game I have ever had the pleasure of play. And I've play them all...

1,000 hrs in Oblivion (about the same in MW)
2,000 hrs with DA:Origins (abt 500 with DA2)
about 500 hrs with each ME, 1 & 2
5 years online rp'ing my legendary Elf Archer with NWN in some LotR PW
3 years with Diablo 2 being #1 Classic HC ladder until I changed to LoD - 100 Meph runs a day, no bot!
3 years with Diablo 1 ina Legit/Purists guild
Countless hours with the Gothic's 1,2 & 3 and Risen!
Over 10 full completionist runs with The Witcher 1

The Gothics, TW1, DA:O and now TW2 are games that I'll be playing for as long as I can move my hands and have my wits. And TW2 is simply the best ever, atm. Until perhaps CDPR delivers something better... not an easy task!

CDPR you did what was RIGHT! by releasing a quality product and a very HIGH quality product indeed. I have already bought 2 copies to support you guys to compensate those pesky pirates. Please don't be deterred by these people.

CONTINUE to do your best. If there's a GOTY version i will buy it again :D

it is a matter of reality, any game this complex simply cannot run flawlessly on 100's of thousands of different machines with diff configurations immediately upon launch,,,

if you cannot accept that fact buy a console

There are separate threads for complaining and praising the game, hell there are lots of complaining thread at this forum. Lets not infested the whole GoG's Witcher 2 forum with complaining and whining. And don't spoil the mood people which actually enjoy the game.

its not whining at all. its a discussion about the game its a discussion on how to make it better. if you cant handle that get off the forums. no one is keeping you from enjoying the game
