I can't seem to find the second queen and her cocoons. I slew the queen which was close to the city, but i've been roving around for a fair long time and can't seem to find her. Did run into an awesome bandit hut though :)

I'm not far enough into this quest to answer sorry, but I'd also like to ask about the other quest close to this one. I'm supposed to blow up the Nekker holes but I don't know what I'm supposed to do.. I move to them and click the mouse and he just says he needs to blow it up. I have bombs but he doesn't use them. I've thrown bombs at the holes and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Sorry to hijack your thread with my question!

Re: CaLeDee's question: you need a specific kind of bomb (playing German, don't know what it is called in English, check your character screen, there is a knowledge tab where it should be mentioned), schematics to be obtained from Cedric IIIRC and then you have to stand a specific point near the whole to get the option to blow up the nest with a left click.

I would like to add my voice to the whereabouts of the nests though. I got one Endrega Queen and 3 of 4 nests (2 near the waterfall, one near the city). Anybody know about the rest?

There are 3 nests near the first queen along the wall, and the 4th nest is near the waterfall.

You need the grape bomb, I think if you buy the Nekka book from the dwarf it updates your journal about it.

How exactly am I supposed to kill endrega queen? My swords do not harm it at all.

You can throw some grapeshot bombs at her to do some damage if you happen to have any. What I did though was to always have quen activated and wait for her to charge then roll out of the way. My goal was to get her to charge into a wall since she has a slow turn around animation. When she's stuck just unload some strong shots into her and she should be pretty easy to take down.

Another strategy you can use if it's the first queen is to lure a Nekkor Warrior to go fight her. Surprisingly those warriors do a ton of damage when they fight the queens, in my game it took the first one nearly to half health before dying. Then just finish the queen off as you normally would, by attacking primarily from behind, though you can sneak a couple light attacks in on the side of her face if you're lucky.

Lure her into Yrden traps then use Strong Attack with your Silver Sword when standing behind her (the Assassin ability from the Prologue helps).

O.K. Killed the queens. Now how to get those bombs? Who has the recipe? Cedric? He just stands there looking through his spy glass and that is all.

Try the incense shop next to the inn/brothel.

I slew the first queen using the yrden (trap sign) without a problem, it was almost easy. But then I really struggled with the second one, didn't seem to damage her at all. So I rage quit the game. Then I got back to it and killed her no problem using yrden and strong attack. I wonder if there is a bug that gives her unlimited health sometimes...

I also recommend littering the place with claw traps, I did this and the trap took a good 4th of her health while she was trying to run after me. You can find lots of clawtraps in the woods lying around.
