dragonbird: What videos did you get? I bought via Steam, and got papercraft (the full set) and videos (developer diaries).
dnna: I don't own the GoG version, I just saw it at friend's house (to compare with TW2CE - which has the same videos as Steam version, I think?). I vaguely remember GoG having some extra videos/developer diaries. It was quite a few months ago, sorry, I don't remember the details. I could be completely wrong on this one :(
& I think someone on the official forum mentioned that GoG has papercrafts that are not available elsewhere.
I think the story started because Steam didn't make the bonus material available until quite a while after the launch, but as far as I know, the material now is the same.
Just to make it clear though, I agree with everyone about "Buy from Gog". If I'd heard of them at the time, I would have done too. And I will for TW3. But the main reasons are
- to support the developer
- Steam screwed up the patches too often. I don't know who was to blame, maybe it was them, maybe it was CDPR, maybe it has finally been fixed, but as a customer it was a nightmare.
- Most of the standard Steam benefits, such as the overlay, don't work with this game, so shouldn't be a consideration. They may start working again later, but they may also break again later still. (It seems to change with every patch).
