Agreed, he's become a "limp prick" alright, this time at least. The rock star appeal seems to be fading, unlike in the books... :P

It seems like they wanted to make the game extremely story-focused this time, and as a consequence, they left out some of the "extraneous" activities that were in the first game. To me, that stuff added a lot of charm. I mean, yeah, I find the story to be an overwhelmingly important part of the game. But charm is important, too.

Legacy: I have a feeling you can hook up with Sile/Sheala, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet.

There's a tease when you meet her in the room at the inn before you start looking into the Kayran thing, where you can ask her about monster hunting, ask if she travels alone, and then use a persuasion on her which makes it sound like you're going to get some later. When you go to fight the Kayran with her, Geralt notes she's wearing make-up now for some reason, why? ("we all have our rituals.") She also does that if you don't even ask her about that stuff based on youtube videos, but it seems like she's interested.

I redid the Kayran fight a few times and tried a lot of dialogue options but she seems to really want to get down to business dissecting that dead beastie. If you admit the fight was tough she wonders if the stories about you are true, and if you say you're fine that seems to lead to some flirtatious speech, but it doesn't seem to go anywhere.

Kinda frustrating. They put too much effort into her character design to not let you get in her pants, so I'm convinced it's possible. Do you run into her again later?
I think she says that just purely for cocktease, axii signing her doesn't do anything either, plays hard to get.
I find it sad that random sexual encounters disappeared in TW2.
I liked the fact that in TW1 you could, with a little effort, have sex with some random NPCs, like the milkmaid, the bar wench the clerk… It gave them some thickness of character at very little cost in my opinion.

In TW2, all your conquests are quest related and already are central to the story I find this choice to lessen immersion to some degree.
Btw at some point in chapter one I encountered a female NPC that told me quite interesting stuff, like, “I like your kind of guy and so on”, but Gerald gave some stupid answer like I’ve no time right now or something (Triss was just kidnapped).

Never saw that npc again after :(

As a huge TW1 fan, I really do feel the loss of charm in this game...The Witcher fan part of me wants to give this an 8/10 but the PC game loving part of me gives this a 9.5/10

I liked those types of quests like walking Vesna home after being attacked by bandits..or helping take care of the baddies that were attacking prostitutes , or helping Carmen treat Vincent Meiss. You could actually turn trophies in for rewards/exp. You could try and outdrink people for rewards and the exp/talent system was much better. The list goes on and on of why I think this game unfortunately lost a lot from TW1. I felt like I was part of the world in TW1 but here it's more just part of the story, and it's fast paced especially towards the end.

Tracido: Seriously Corylea, ty for that.

Bit off topic but the dang forums have been down so long now & I've been away a while so I have no idea what your "site" is anymore or if you finished your 2 part of the Witcher 1 add on questy. Still looking forward to it.

Corylea: Thanks for asking! "Medical Problems 2: The Witcher Disease" came out three days before TW2 did, but since the forum was down, most people don't know that it's out. You can find it in either of two places:

http://corylea.com/med_prob2.html OR
http://www.moddb.com/members/corylea/downloads/medical-problems-2-the-witcher-disease

The first site will have the most up-to-date version; the second site has the ability for players to post questions and comments. (So I'd suggest getting it from the first site and posting questions or comments at the second.)
You finished it!!! YAY!!!

*hugs*

What I think though, is that expansion packs, DLC quests & mod adventures are being screamed for in between, & after. Corylea has already done some for the 1st game, I did some for items myself & there were several others who did decent sized adventures but I'm sure the modding community can spruce up things if we all work on it, apart or together.
