I'm trying to determine what the 16 different ending are. Currently I have figured out 12 of the 16. They are as follows:

Act 2 refers to who you sided with in act 2.

Lodge refers to who exposed the Lodge's plans. If it's Letho the Lodge is opposed by the kings, if it's Triss the Lodge is established.

Anais going to Redania is the default because if you don't help Roche she goes to Redania.

What happens to the dragon (Saskia) is more important in Iorveth's path because it affects who will rule the Pontar Valley. In Roche's path it is always annexed by Kaedwen so the dragon's fate is considered the same choice.

Unsure if Stennis tries to conquer Pontar if he's alive and Saskia is dead, or whether it submits to him. I do know that he tries to conquer Pontar if he's alive. What happens to Pontar if Stennis and Saskia are dead is not mentioned.


The problem I have with the last 4 endings is that if I add another choice to Iorveth or Roche it doubles the number of ending from 6-12, resulting in a minimum of 18 endings. Does anyone have any advice regarding what the 16 endings are?

I heard this as well but I wasn't able to find out if it was true. If Henselt is killed does this mean the Battle for Vergen doesn't happen? If it does happen who accepts the surrender?

No, you can't kill Henselt in that way. in Iorveth path, Henselt always survives.

I can't remember all the dialogue choices, but what happens is you sneak into henselts tent and put a sword to his throat. You then tell him what you need the blood for and he gives it to you willingly.

Now, thats what happened when i did it, but like i said, i can't fully remember all the dialogue choices, but i dont think killing him was an option, as i dont think geralt really has any motiviation to do so.

Yeah, that's what I always did but I was sure there was another option. Guess not though.

If you want to get really technical with the endings, you should include what you did in flotsam (loredo dead/loredo alive/saved elves/non humans killed/was there riot etc etc)

Those don't have any impact on how the plot unfolds/ the (political) future of the Northern Kingdoms though, and I wouldn't refer to them as 'different endings'

I've only finished the game 5 times, so probably missing something. But I think important differences are the ones you can see on the political map of Northen Kingdoms:
- Status of Pontar Valley, determined firstly by the side you chose in act 1 and also by what you chose to do with Saskia later. It may be annexed by Kaedwen, become an independant state or (not sure about that) remain a part of Aedirnian territory.
- Aedirn. It may be conquered by Henselt, if you side with Roche and leave him alive, it may remain independent and have a legitimate ruler if you side with Iorveth and protect Stennis from peasants, or it can remain independent but without a king if you either side with Roche and kill Henselt or allow Stennis to be lynched on Iorveth's side.
- Temeria. If you side with Iorveth then Temeria will be divided between Henselt and Radovid. The same will happen if you side with Roche, leave Henselt alive and then rescue Triss in act 3. If you help Roche in act 3 then it's either independent (if you hand Anais to Natalis) or controlled solely by Radovid (if Anais goes to him).
- Status of Council and Conclave (and also possibility of Northern Kingdoms uniting against the Nilfgaardian invasion). If you help Philippa or Roche in act 3 then Shilard will be present at the talks and acuse all sorceresses in killing both Demavend and Foltest, thus making the formation of Council and Conclave impossible and also causing massacre in Loc Muinne. If you free Triss, she will blame the assasinations only on Philippa and Sile, without revealing the Lodge (Radovid will still know about it from Shilard, but without having any real evidence besides nilfgaardian's words won't say a thing). At the same time Shilard and Renuald aep Matsen are both dead and are unable to carry out Emperor's plans of causing conflict between northern kings and sorcerers.

Ah, I want to check all the endings too.. :) to import into Witcher 2 Expansion/DLC or Witcher 3.

As mentioned in another post, I have'nt done the following..

*The only thing I have missed out(haven't done is) is handing Iorveth the sword during Lethos first encounter at the Elven runes, as Roche ambushes the gathering...(as a results Flotsam burns)...and then help Roche. *

Are you sure endings wouldn't be much more basic like:

Saskia killed or lives
Sile killed or lives
Letho Killed or lives
Henselt killed or lives

These four in all the combinations get you to 16 endings.

I am not sure they are like this, at one time when they were talking about endings they said something like there are about 4 major differences and 12 others which are variations of these 4, and the variations are like this, sometimes there is a country on the map and sometimes there is not, so the endings surely are about the political states of the north.

After a bit of thought i think i have found another two of the endings, since decisions about Iorveth have a major impact on the politcal outcome, his live/death situation should affect the ending too. This leaves two other endings, if the ones i thought about are true, ofcourse
Oh by the way there was another thread where this was being discussed, i and a few others pointed out quite a bit of choices that may impact the game, they included all the ones you wrote about and a few others.

I recently found out that if you follow Roche's route and try to save Anais it's different depending on whether you saved Aryan or not. This produces 4 more Roche endings, resulting in a total of 16 endings.

Either for Aryan means it doesn't matter if he's alive or dead as it doesn't affect the story. As Aryan plays no role in Iorveth's ending it doesn't matter if he's dead or alive.

Thers is a major (imo) decision you dont seem to have recorded.

If we save Triss, the new Conclave/Council of Sorcerors is created with the chief interest being the well-being and prosperity of the Northern Kingdoms at the expense of possibly saving a kingdom.
