During chapter 1 I walked by two conspicuous looking men (Gustav and Dirk) in flotsam who were talking about me and saying something along the lines of "do you think he'll agree?" and "here comes the witcher!"

So I decided to talk to them, and they said they were running an experiment in their lab in Vizima, but they needed to try it on a live subject, and I would be an ideal candidate. I was given the option to accept/deny, and was told that I should start seeing the effects in about a year or two.

So I accepted the offer, and I was expecting to see some results of this experiment later into the game. But I finished the game without seeing any follow-up to that experiment.

It is worth noting that this conversation doesn't start any quest in my journal. Do you think they will continue this in a future DLC or expansion?

They just give you a mutagen, a nice one though.
I just figured it was the way the game introduced you to mutagens.

They're Gustav and Dirk untill you reload, then they can be Alvin and Minute Mick ;)

Can't figure out why these two got random names on load instead of fixed names.

Hmmm I always hated how the "items received" popup disappears so fast. Totally missed the mutagen... what was it anyway?

Shoulda been a madness mutagen, heh.
