Zyankali: 1. download the tw2unfsb.7z extract it :D
2. copy tw2unfsb.exe intro The Witcher 2\CookedPC\sounds\music folder
3. copy the fmodex.dll from The Witcher 2\bin intro The Witcher 2\CookedPC\sounds\music folder
3. drag the *.fsb's over the tw2unfsb.exe -> all tracks will be decode to *.wav's
Thank you! I tried to google translate the german link, but I had a hard time making sense of their instructions.

btw- if you decompress all the sound files in the music folder they will take up 3GBs of disk space.

I've put together an an extension for the official soundtrack as it was bugging me that the official OST was missing so many tracks; I've uploaded it for others to enjoy as well (I hope CDPR doesn't mind).

Thank you adamhm ! I was pretty dissapointed that the wonderful track at Loc Muine is not on OST, so I am downloading now your compilation. Awesome.

Edit - just downloaded it. The song I love that is missing from OST is called Blue Mountains here. Absolute bliss. Thanks again man! Mind boggles why would they not release full OST.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. :)

Edit: Quality and file type, by the way?

Edit again: Ah, I see it now. Ripped from the game, then encoded to MP3 320. You even set the tags and everything. Perfect. :)

I've been checking this out, finally, and I'm very pleased; and grateful that now I don't have to worry about making this extended soundtrack reality. :P

Thanks to this, I also managed to get the titles for the four bonus tracks supplied by GOG: The first is called Dragon Battle, in your playlist, the second By the King's Will, the third I had already found as A Nearly Peaceful Place; which is already present on the official soundtrack, so I have no idea why it's tagged as a bonus (or am I missing something?). The fourth and final track is called Ladybird in this playlist, but is a full minute longer. It's just a loop, though, while yours cuts off exactly as it does in the game.

No complaints at all. Great work, perfect result, and my deepest gratitude for sharing this with us. :)

It seems to be a slightly different version, but it is very similar.

And thanks for the info.

It doesn't work.

The music files are extracted only for 75% of their original lenght.
I noticed that with the track "The path of a Kingslayer": 1:04 minutes instead of 1:30.
So the *.wav files that you obtain from the conversion are not complete.

It needs another program.
Any suggestion?

Why don't you just download it from the megaupload link provided above?

Thanks a lot for this! You are our savior.
I hope CDPJKT RED officially releases a full OST sometime.

Does anyone knows which music is that? Plays here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQGdzS7f-dM&feature=player_detailpage#t=576s and here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQGdzS7f-dM&feature=player_detailpage#t=627s
Sorry, the music volume in this video is low.

I didn't find this song within the OST (official or the one posted by adamhm).

Edit: It's a combat song with some rock, and It plays a lot in Chapter 3.

"Dragon Battle" is actually just guitarless version of "For A Higher Cause". This song along with "Ladybird" (which is actually called "Assassins Theme") and "By The King's Will" was previously available as a preorder bonus songs and is now available in the GoG soundtrack.

If you want to listen to the hidden tracks but still don't know how to extract it, I have found a guy who did the work for you:

My guess is the bonus version is an earlier version of the song.

"Dragon Battle" was given out with that name in one of the newsletters; I named "Ladybird" after both the original extracted filename ("l04_music.fsb.13.cs308_ladybird") and where it's used ingame (it's also not the same as bonus track 4, although they are similar/both variations of the main theme). Anyway I extracted & included them so we'd have versions with correct tags, bitrate etc. to match the official soundtrack.
I have asked CDPR several times about a loss-less version of the soundtrack, but have received no response whatsoever. Perhaps if everyone hit them up directly on Twitter or support email they might say something.
