Zoltan is always talking about how beautiful female dwarfs are through the first game. I was looking forward to finally going to Vergen and seeing them. But I got there and not one female dwarf was to be found, what the hell?

You're projecting human concepts on non human beings. They're there. ;p

On a more serious note, that's just my way of pretending they're there of course. But, who knows, maybe female dwarves really do look exactly like male ones in the Witcher world. Can't really recall any descriptions of them in the novels. Or, for that matter, any in the first game.

On the bright side at least we avoided the female dwarf prostitute sex scene...

dwarves reproduce asexualy. they have only one gender. hope that helps.

You can see a carved statue of what is presumably a female dwarf in Vergen. I am not familiar enough with Witcherverse lore to say why they aren't present, aside from the fact that it's popular fantasy convention for female dwarves to be awol.

there are female dwarfs, remember one of Zoltan's friends said he has a screw tonight, and mentioned it again after the mines quest, so definitely females, unless he's gay

Unless theres some lore issue Im not aware of, its probably just a budgetary decision more than anything else.

Clearly its a very male world these dwarfs live in and the females are locked away cooking and cleaning, but im sure many fantasy portrails of female dwarfs (Lord of the Rings especially) they make a point that female dwarves look exactly the same as male ones, so thats my guess, im reckoning zoltan is a dwarven woman after all, its the big twist at the end, lol

Now we know why Zoltan and Geralt are such good "friends"!

Just FYI, the statue of what I am assuming is a swollen dwarf female is in the the little square where the blacksmith (Haggard? something like that?) hangs out at.
