Same problem here with the retail version. With patch 1.1 there are hickups while moving.
I have a feeling that there will be Enchanted Edition once again.
Red engine looks great , but is hard to fix problems within it.I am certain of it.

cH053n: Any Nvidia users getting the micro-stuttering?
I just thought it was my machine loading or something no 1,1 patch yet! Doesn't bother me at all and only does it occasionally..maybe something running in background?? I've got all 8 threads going.

GTX570
I have this problem also. I tried a clean install of 11.5 & 11.5b hotfix then a clean install of the retail CE game.

It always shows up after I patch to v. 1.1

Settings doesn't help at all with or without vsync, etc...

Updated my post with version details (for example, I'm using the GOG.com version). I suggest you all do the same - could be useful in tracking down the issue!

cH053n: Only with Vsync enabled

When moving forward, randomly the environment noticeably hitches/stutters. The screen appears to skip a frame.

I'm running at a constant 60 FPS with Vsync but it hitches while moving. Have Crossfire 5870's with latest hot fix, clean install.

Anyone else notice this?
Yes, I had it pre and I have it post patch. Sometimes very distracting, but I try to not worry about it and just follow the story play.

Vsync disabling only seems to make mouse input lag better in the menus but makes cutscenes with cinematic dof horrible to watch since you will see screen tearing left and right.

I have the international retail version as well as the gog version - both the same thing.

very common issues for ati cards...even their best cards. I know for sure is not the game's problms. ATI really need to work on that.

cH053n: I have the latest 11.5b hotfix and get the stutter

MikeP999: I'll chime in as well. I'm using ATI 11.5b. Post patch = stuttering, or jerky movement with OR without V-sync. Makes me dizzy! Super noticeable in Flotsam forest. Is it prevalent in further chapters?
Same here and in the same place. I am running a core i7 960, 6 Gb DDR3 memory, ati HD5770 1 Gb GDDR5 Vram. Just ordered an EVGA Nvidia GTX 560ti card to see if that will help matters any. Lots of problems with Fallout: New Vegas, but don't know if it will help with that.
Defrag the resource file and see if that helps. I've had the same problem and it helped.
