So I start the launcher, click registration, come to the attached screen and .. can't type? In any field I click I see the blinking cursor but pressing any kind of key does exactly nothing?

Are you running as admin?

Of course not.

Then try running it as admin. Some people are reporting issues like yours and have success when running as admin.

RFC, I believe Coel was referring to running the entire program as admin through your OS (i.e. Windows Vista), not running as a "game admin". Hope that clarifies the issue.

This is correct. If your desktop's DPI is set above 100% (mine was like 125% or 150%) you won't see the characters appear. I had to set mine back to 100% to get it working.

Hey, the game must adapt to the system! I'll wait for a TW2 patch as I don't have a pc just for this game.

Í think so too, it's sad that such a basic thing slipped through the QA process; proper screen adoption is something I take given in 2011. Fortunately this is no show-stopper for me..

W7 Pro 64. Fonts at 100%, run as an Admin... and only works until step 2. What the hell???? Cannot register the game, cannot download anything.... where is all the stuff coming with this edition?

Update the game. The registration and download menu in the launcher is irrelevant post patch 1.2. That mean you don't need to register anything because the update give you all free DLC. You can download the language pack at Witcher 2 website. Oh, and your bonus/extra stuff is located at "My Account" in this website.
