hah hah! I had the same problem, unfortunaytely CDPJTR buried the solution on their community page...

just make a new acct and supposedly we'll be able to reconcile TW1 & 2 accts later....

Why this wasn't in the various "fixes" threads and stickies and SUPPORT page, I dunno... I'm just a poor customer...

yeah, I wondered about some od the downloads myself, but have opted to grab them anyways ATM... be nice if they had more descriptions or some actually useful info on their COMMUNITY page(and their SUPPORT page as well... Poles I guess think sideways... probably a result of too long an exposures to Russkie communists...)

I clicked "Download" out of curiosity, and now I can't get them to stop!

I have the GOG version and i can't play it without registering. When i hit the play/launch button it reminds me that i have to register.

Actually i have a similar bot not such an heacy issue. I run the gog version as well the game itself runs fine, but whenever I try to login and register i am getting the dialog but cannot enter text (they keboard obviously works otherwise i would not typing this) when i go forward to register I am getting the same no connection error.
To the worse the login and register areas on the witcher website also are not enabled.
But at least i can run the game and can run the patcher manually.
So it is not a big deal.

i wish i was so lucky. I just want to play the game, but can't. And even worse is that people claim that they are having no issues with the GOG version.

But my game wants the damn registration before it will let me play.

So to be honest i'm pretty pissed off. I have a game i pre-ordered well in advance, and i haven't even been able to play it yet. Wasted money.

Edit: And while i'm being angry, i have tried downloading the game twice now just to see if it had gotten corrupted, but the file integrity checks out each time.

When I try to register my game via the laucher for some reason I cannot enter any text. Does someone know why?

Weird, I can run the game fine - I wanted to register, but it wouldn't let me due to connectivity issues.

I just started playing instead, no problems what-so-ever.

At first I couldn't see what was I typing when trying to register the game, but I changed the size of the font on the screen to 100% by going to the control panel and display like another post in this thread and that fix that problem. I managed to register the game by creating a new account, but when trying to download the troll DLC I get Connection error. "Retrying in 10 secs and it loops infinitely. " So are the server offline at the moment or is my firewall blocking the connection to the Witcher servers. I check the exception on the firewall in the control panel and it should allow to receive data from their servers.

2 hours from this post I finally was able to download the troll dlc and install it in the game, and later met the troll in game. After meeting the Witcher's version of the troll is a lot different from the way trolls are portrayed in other RPG games.

Clicking "Registered Users" on the Launcher still drops me at en.witcher.com. I guess those pages are still down?

Well I was now able to register. The hint with setting the fonts to 100% worked out so that I could see what I was entering, also at the same time CDProject reenabled the registration servers. So I finally could register my copy and get the additional dlc.

Two days and this still is still facked. The login/register buttons on thewitcher.com don't work and the link provided when I registered the GOG key (secure.thewitcher.c.dot360.pl) doesn't work. Sup?

Try this, uninstall the game, and when installing it again, make the install director anything other than "Program Files" so lets say c:\The Witcher 2
