alright so I cant really find where else this has happened. So I go to redeem my back up copy for my witcher 2 assassins of kings enhanced edition from the gog.com thing in my game launcher and I I put in my username and password and all I get is this "client found response type of 'text/html', but expected 'text/html', request failed with an empty response" please help

Are you talking about downloading the Steam version? Because you can't download and launch gog games via the gog downloader, you need to access your account in the site (https://secure.gog.com/account/games), then open The Witcher 2 tab and download the installer via the gog downloader or manually (manual download has you download multiple parts, so I highly recommend using the downloader).

I bought the CD from another castle brand new and its not telling me register It I have the key that came with it even after creating an account with gog it still will not allow me to register

Try going to this URL: http://www.gog.com/witcher/backup

rather than trying to use the Launcher.
