I have the game here on GOG but I was looking into buying a hard copy similar to the Platinum Edition I bought for the first game.

Is anything like that available with the latest patch, etc.? Or will there be in the near future? Seeing as the Witcher 3 is coming out soon I thought this would be a good time to ask.

No the enhanced edition only came out on the 360 but the gog edition is the latest edition and has all the goodies that the collector's edition had (except for the figure)

Mhh when I went to the game store last year they told me EE was only on 360 :s
Ehm the Prem Edition is the original release without any patches and was the initial release. Everyone got the Prem edition I think which included some goodies: a guide, a coin and letter of appreciation, some paper figurines, dvd make off, soundtrack and a map.

The EE only includes map, dvd and soundtrack but since you can register it on gog, you'll get the full content anyway. I think it came out in certain countries since you can get the EE free on gog anyway. Also you get a back up on gog with the original vision (i.e. Prem edition).
