Ok, I've just pasted the entire directory of TW2 that I copied just before a format.
The problem is that I cannot start the launcher (to change options and so on, and to download updates).
(the game works through the main executable)

Is there a way to fix this? It would be really awful to download the entire thing again.

Try a proper re-installation of the game and then copy back and overwrite the new installation with your backed-up files. If you are on Windows, there's more to an installation than just the content of the game's folder. E.g by reinstalling you make sure, that all necessary registry entries are set.

Also make sure that your gpu/windows (like .NET Framework) is fully updated to the latest drivers.

Hi guys, I just installed the whole thing again...It's probably cause there're non registry entries in windows.
Tbh I haven't started the game yet either, I decided to read all the books by Sapkowski first (finished yesterday, and at the end of the month another one will be released) :)
(they're awesome, read them if you haven't already)
