hanns.g: From the very first post, I could tell the fella was either

A. so clueless there is no point in responding

or

B. a complete Troll

His last post asking to be planted at the source of the silver sword was, again, either completely yellow-bus or epically trollish.

Regardless, very entertaining thread.

And, 227, you are a very kind fellow. Plus rep.
Obviously, you must have been classified as "mentally challenged" somewhere in your sad life.

If that wasn't enough, you're most likely still stuck in your double-wide trailer with plenty of houseflies to keep you company

aidamei: cam you please put my character where they need to be to get this sword?

227: Don't you remember where you got the Kayran quest? It's near the dude in Flotsam who yells out "the mutant's pursuing meeeeeee!"

There should be a guy there who you can buy and sell with, and one of the things he sells is a silver sword (check the bottom near the sword stats, and it'll tell you whether it's a steel or silver sword).

EDIT BECAUSE I KEEP FORGETTING STUFF IN EVERY POST: There's also a blacksmith in Flotsam who can make the silver sword if you have silver ore and some other stuff. You might check there if you can't afford the sword.
How do I get the blacksmith to make me the sword?

I don't know how that manufacture tool works

I need help with this

Nah. I'm just trying to earn a halo because it would look great on my devil horns. Thanks, though :)

You can craft items based on diagrams that you have. Right now the only diagram you have is for the silver sword, so it's all you have to worry about. You're missing one piece of silver ore, which the blacksmith sells, so just buy one piece of silver ore, then talk to him again and choose "craft me an item." You should be able to make the sword, then.

Or you could just download this save: http://www.mediafire.com/?0asw07ddr83dpmd

I too smell a troll, something is just not right about the posts.
The word "troll" is becoming overused these days. Google the guy's e-mail, I take it he's either very, very, very bored or simply bad at video games.
227,will you check?

I sent you an e-mail

I'm still not able to complete Kayran (even with the Silver Sword)
Resolved through email, so there's no longer any need to respond to this thread :)
hello

I need help

I am on a chapter called Aedirn;Prelude to War

I am supposed to follow an owl in the pitch black dark.

I turned up gamma and brightness all the way

Now I see the owl but I cannot complete getting through to the end

(It is the scoatiel campaign aligned with the elf)

The character cannot survive to the end

I need to find a save right after completing this

Ive tried it over and over and the character cannot survive

There's a patch of light around the owl. Stay within it. It's a shield, like the butterfly shield Triss cast in Act I.

When wraiths and draugir appear within that patch, go after the wraiths. The wraiths are weak and will go down fast. Kill them all, and the draugir will vanish, and the owl and the light will return. Then proceed, staying close to the owl.

You'll find out later who the owl really is.

This thread should be made a sticky just for the entertainment value alone.

Are you not entertained?

I don't know Kleetus, The guy is a flat out troll.
I'd vote to lock this thread and every other one like it so as not to encourage others to spam the forum and take advantage of the good will of others.

The GoG staff who was the closest thing to a moderator went MIA about 2 months ago.

There are a few others around, but they don't act often. The only time I've ever seen a thread locked (in my admittedly short time here) is the Muslim thread awhile back, and that went on for a bazillion pages before anyone intervened.

Ah, the memories.

EDIT: OP is a nice guy, actually. Been talking to him over email. Just doesn't take kindly to being called a troll.
