wyzard101: I don't really care. If I waited this long to play it, I might as well wait another damn 12 hours or whatever. At least I'll sleep with clean concience knowing that I didn't rip off the developer, and hopefullly, when I wake up tommorow morning, I'll enjoy the game i bought.

archaven: i'm not wanting to play the game earlier.. i'm sad these pirates ripped it off from the developers.
Every single game is released this way. There's no point in sad, or surprise, it's just a fact of life.
It's disappointing, but not unexpected after learning the game would have english VO and english text in all regions (if that slide from their presentation was correct). Releasing it early for CE owners in Poland was bound to cause a cracked copy to appear before launch for everyone else.

Oh well, i can wait the little over 12 hours for my GoG copy to unlock.
This thread fails. What's new etc blah blah.

Don't waste your time monitoring and reporting what "the pirates" do.

Wanna do something useful ? Write some encouraging comments in the shady parts of the web about how people should head over to GOG and support the developers instead.
I wonder how many on here that HAVE paid for it will download it so they can get a head start.
@MADPADDY
I know i will not

@Lenny
Why would the thread FAIL when during CDPR SPRING 2011 CONFERENCE, GOP mentioned that not the pirates who will play the game first.

A head start for what reason, it is not a race, but a game?
I actually did that, it installed fine etc. But I you can't activate the game get, with the legit serial. Just gotta wait that bit... :)

It did download the patch though etc.
There's a new proper Skidrow scene release of TW2 that just popped up...
Please CDP, show some more ballz and unlock the game for your paying customers!!! Oh and yes it does work.

VoodooEconomist: Well, we can opnly hope that those sailing under Jolly Roger upon gazing into TW2's awesome face will realise the error of their wicked ways and turn to the light by buying this awe inspiring digital work of art.

archaven: nothing but a fool's hope that pirates will actually buy the game? true pirates wouldn't spend a single penny no matter how much they like a game/software/music. just consoling words. of course i agree there are existing fans who are downloading when they want to play it earlier.. but majority of them don't buy anything and simply flame at you when you ask them suport the developers.
Eh. I know I've full version trialed a few games and bought them because I thought they were actually worth it. I'm probably in the minority there though

Dont play all mr mr goody you know exactly what reason so they dont have to wait till 7am Etc,some people will do this im tempted my self,but atm im resisting.
I'm just curious to see if CDPR goes through with the threats they made last year that they'd be hiring legal firms to go after torrenters similar to the way the music industry went after song sharers last year.

@Archaven You couldn't be anymore wrong about that...
@cmfreak
those are consoling words... perhaps 10% of the pirates share your mentality. but anyhow the thing to highlight is that CDPR mentioned in CDPR SPRING 2011 CONFERENCE that it was not the pirates going to play the game first..

so just release the game to all the fans now would be better.
One of the reasons I paid for it is to support these awesome developers, and GOG. The pirates don't get to enjoy that feeling, nor all the bonuses that come with the game. They also won't get patches as quickly as we will, and they'll have to wait for cracks to go along with those patches.

So honestly--sucks for them.
I dont think it would be worth the legal fees to go after torrenters. And all that would happen is more backlash, look what people did with Spore.

The people who are going to buy it will buy it, and if they torrent it first then thats probably because no devs put out PC demos anymore. And all that things like invasive and restricting DRM does is negatively affect your legit customer base. Which will cause some people to not buy your game(like the whole Securom hubub).

People pirate because they dont want to pay for things. Even if you make an unpiratable game, those people STILL wont buy your game. Enforcing DRM isnt going to increase your sales.
