hmmm, you know that eyefinity business................ how about it?

< preordered customer who has not yet played the game he purchased some months ago.

eskiMoe: This is absurd. I regret buying the game from GOG because I originally wanted to support these "awesome devs". I might as well have waited till next month and bought the game cheap since the support for this game is non existent.

CatShannon: I hear you. I've also pre-ordered the game on GOG but have stopped playing it fairly quickly and hardly looked at it again since then.

However, I'm not blaming the developers. It was my decision after all to buy the game in advance and get it on day one, even though I'm totally aware of the fact that most games need patching nowadays and that it's always better to wait than to buy on day one.

What I did though is that I recommended a friend of mine to not buy the game yet. Don't want anyone else to make the same “mistake” I did.
Complete over reaction. 1.2 fixed most issues. The remaining ones are nit picks (aspect ratio, etc.) Game is perfectly playable.
The lag bugs aren't nitpicks. They got me killed often. The UI isn't a nitpick either.
some kids don't know how to manipulate the graphic settings. The only real bug I found the first time was that Geralt suddenly started going up in flames and farting heliotrope after the last boss fight on the Triss path.

there were no game breaking bugs and I'm proud of CDPR for that.
also I used a good flat screen TV to play it so aspect ratio was pretty much solved.

I hate the UI, too. But, it is as intended, for better or worse. So, a nit pick.

The lag can be worked around. Not ideal. But not a game breaker, either.

eskiMoe: It's July and I still haven't played the damn game because I'm getting piss poor performance on a high end PC. And I heard rumors that patch 1.3 might not come before August.
August ?!? where did you hear this rumor? I'm pretty sure that a guy from CDProject in another thread told that the patch will be released "soon"...

Nit picks? No working SLI and no working 3D.

Imagine that you've invested in a high performance SLI rig combined with a 3D monitor and glasses and couple of expensive GPUs and both features are broken months after the game's released.

These aren't just "nit picks". The game is just simply broken.

Someone said it in the official "forums". It's a rumor, but wouldn't be surprised if it was true tho.

I said the forums are due to be up in August, not the patch. there has been no official word on the patch.

Well. That's a relief!

They may be minor matters for you. Enemies vanishing into thin air right in front of the player are a major fun stopper for me.

The game may be perfectly playable from a technical standpoint, I agree with you here. Whether it is fun though is a totally different story. And for me, personally, the game just isn't enough fun to ignore what some may call minor flaws or weaknesses, such as the one mentioned above (among others).

Rriight.

Let me guess. You haven't got SLI or 3D?
I hope we can eventually delete files in the game menu, rather than having to manage them in the save file folder. First AAA release for me where I've had to do this, actually.

It's funny. Games of yore let us do simple but convenient stuff. Thorough hotkey support and customization, support for Logitech and various other controllers ( now it's just Xbox ) customizing hud elements, setting graphical option in the menu, and even * gasp * NAMING save files. We were so spoiled back then, lol. All these things have been whittled away in recent multi-platform releases. I wasn't expecting CDPR's PC 'only' title to fall into the same boat.

Correct, but not every game, application etc supports SLI, Crossfire or 3D so get over it.

And even if they are supported and don't work cos of bugs it is still not a game breaker.

so the word I'm looking for (that has been used by a lot of other people) is Nit Picks!

Since patch 1.2, you can hover over a save and delete it by pressing the delete key on your keyboard.
