Hey I have the gog version of the game (of course) and kinda want to patch my game on 1.2 but it does not start automatically and the patch I downloaded from the internet does not work with my version o.O I already tried starting the witcher 2 launcher at administrator, did not help also started the patcher.exe from my gamefolder as admin and it told me my game would be updated... however.... I don't think I have version 1.2 because I cant delete my savegames in game...
Did you download patch 1.1 first? Patch 1.2 is universal for all versions of the game, but you have to install the version-specific 1.1 patch, first.

You can find the GOG 1.1 patch in your games if you click on The Witcher 2, under the download links at the bottom of the list.

I'd download the two patches and do the whole thing offline, because it seems like there are too many problems with the launcher :)

EDIT: Just to avoid any confusion, there won't be any "delete save" button in 1.2. You have to hover over the save and hit the "delete" button on your keyboard, which runs contrary to most people's instincts when it comes to deleting games.

I thought the 1.1 patch was already included in the gog version after its release together with the Troll DLC... I got the troll DLC... and I don't see the Patch 1.1 to download anywhere just the polish language versions

I don't think they've updated the download to include 1.1 quite yet. You were able to download Troll Trouble with 1.0, but you had to do it manually and it didn't work for a lot of people. If you didn't download it separately and it's not letting you update to 1.2 then I'd have to ask what it says when you try to install 1.2.

I'm including a picture to show you where the patch is, just in case you're still on 1.0 (you download it from the GOG site, not the launcher).

oooooh thank you x.x... I thought you meant patch 1.1 would be in my launcher.... and I really thought patch 1.1 was included in the downloaded version with the Troll DLC :O... haa... x.x I'm sooo smart... thank you
I remember reading on one of the posts on the official site that if you didn't download the game on the day it was released and thus didn't get the day 0 patch the auto-download feature for the patches won't work.

You'll have to do it all manually.
