Hello, here is some feedback on patch 1.1

Patch 1.1 made the performance of Witcher 2 much worse for me. The game had fine performance on High settings for me upon release, but with this 1.1 patch I get about 1 frame per second when I am in an indoors environment. Furthermore, disabling the Blur effect does not seem to work indoors.

My pc is a quad core i7 2.93 ghz with an nvidia geforce gtx 470 video card. As far as I know, I am running the latest drivers (8.17.12.7061).

I also noticed the GOG monk link is still not enabled in my extras menu, even though I already won from the monk.

I get about 5-15 more fps with same settings.

The game also runs much smoother (less choppiness).

My main issue are the shadows, they seem to have increased both the depth and darkness of the shadows (i.e. shadows are darker and larger). On framerate, what is the "Texture Memory Size (MB)" setting set to? I found that at least on my PC, increasing the setting from the "Medium Spec" default of small to medium both increased framerate and reduced lag.

This. I even went so far as to load a save from before I beat the monk and beat him again, but the extras still didn't unlock.

I'm wondering if., after I install the patch, I can go ahead and reinstall my nvidia 3D vision drivers (and perhaps try the game in 3D) - I had to remove them as per the advice in the sticky thread because it gave extreme choppiness (playing in 2D) at a certain point in the game - where you enter the church in the prologue. Removing the 3D drivers fixed that for me but I was hoping the patch would resolve all this.

It keeps saying "error" when i try to install witcher 2 1.1 patch
Just so there is a record of events-- I too, experienced terrible sound and graphics lag after the patch was installed (GOG download for patch and for game). I had not previously experienced the black screen freeze lock up until I installed the patch. As soon as the patch was installed, I could not play the game past the first mouse lmb press. Computer is a strange bird> i3 with radeon HD 3650- latest drivers and settings all at low/ disabled. FPS were 15 -20 before the patch, and more like 7 after.
Interestingly, My sister's computer is identical in all hardware and the patch is working perfectly fine with her computer and GOG version. I am currently redownloading and reinstalling the game ( hope for completion in 12 hours).
FYI, the new NVIDIA drivers, released this week, fix the performance problems.
