Gidzin: The background life of Oblivion was better for me then Witcher2

On combat, what difficulty are you playing on? Because in my experience, you can theoretically play hard by rolling, but it's a lot more tedious and a lot less effective than your other options. You can also win by spamming knives and bombs, but you run out of those pretty quick, and once again will have an easier and more enjoyable time using more complex tactics.
Ok you win, mudcrabs are boring!! Witcher2 is much more colorful..
I'm playing on Normal but not spamming the knives because they are costly, only use them if my life is low and need range to survive and regenerate. I'm specced more into Swordsman and accidently put 2 points into daggers so had to run with it.

What do you consider as a complex tactic? I use signs, melee, dodge(when space dictates) and range weapons, very few traps and haven't really had to take advantage of reposte(I'm too slow to react so far in the game)

Gidzin: not to mention the sexual scenes which could have been a little more artistically protrayed rather then the 'slam bang thank you mamme
Slam bam thank you ma'am is at the very heart of The Witcher experience. :P

Yea, but If their gonna push the limit let us at least enjoy the voyeurism!

The scenes could be at least twice as long for each camera angle and some romantic music(or hard rock depending upon your tastes) would enhance greatly..(no polish polka music please)
I'm not asking for Geralt to pull out a pork sausage skin to satisfy those that practice safe sex but the slam bang refering to their handling the scenes as less of a meat fest!!

I would rather they redirected all the efforts on making the awkward sex cutscenes to playing the game itself. That way they would have seen that much is amiss in the game.
I thought the sex scenes were fairly well done and they deserve credit for not going prude on us. Especially liked the Triss love scene.

Relative to sex scenes in other games, yes. But you must admit the animations are pretty stiff and the low res, angular body parts (like arms) do not look that good.
There is just no pleasing some people... :)
Would you rather prefer BioWare PG sex scenes or the Oblivion/Fallout ones? (or rather lack of)?

They are low res, but I thought that was just my pc. I do think the female character models are well done imo. different body types, even among the hookers, realistic looking breasts, etc.

Well my comment was definitely over the top, a better way of getting my point across was to praise them for their inclusion of what we all do(the naughty) and their short duration which seems rather choppy to me!! (Maybe the Poles are that quick in bed anyways (wink))

At least their boxing matches are extremely well done!! And they are trying to rid themselfs of the drunkeness ferver that plagues most Slavics with the elimination of the emphasis of intoxication games.

We are talking here about one small, independent studio... Note that their product stands above (at least according to the votes on the relevant sites) other proven quality and reputable companies who have been doing this for more than a decade...

I think what CDPR has achieved is great and while I do think there is still room for improvement (in all aspects, though in some more than others) I remain supporting and thankful of what I (we) have received and how it has enriched our role playing experiences.

The bottom like is that the final product is outstanding. Sure it has some flaws (and some of those flaws are pretty big according to specific people and tastes they represent) but overall it is phenomenal when compared to what else is and has been released on the market in the recent years.

People spend a lot of time picking on things they do not like, yet very little on things they do love about the game. Furthermore I am left to wonder if the critics are fair in the application of their criticism across the whole industry responsible for a specific line of products (in this case RPG games)...

Sure, you may not like something, but has anyone else done it better so far?
Do not blame a pioneer for being the first one there :)
