Now, now I am not gonna rage quit this game like I did with Daggerfall, like they say the more you play, the better you get.

But since I am playing the Second one and do not have the first game, I do not know what is going on in terms of continuity?

Like what happen in the past, what is this world I am in? And where does Geralt fit all in?

(Note I love Geralt, I like those dark and serious characters a lot, kinda like War from Darksiders 1)

Hmmm. Even if you got the first game, which would be ideal (it is a really nice game, and different), you still wouldn 't get answers. Because geralt begins the game with amnesia. And up until the end of 2, he still hasn 't regained the whole picture. If you are NOT a bookworm, you obviously wouldn 't enjoy reading through "Last Wish" and "blood of elves", would you? But i have a proposition. You can download or watch online, the 13 TV episodes of the polish adaptation, since they have english subtitles. You will get to know who geralt was, how he became a witcher, how his character was shaped throughout the years, and how he befriended certain "exotic" beings, like certain "monsters". His moral, dilemmas, and choice-axis.

TV episodes are always fun to watch.

The acting is abysmal (even though some good actors are in it) the script ridiculous, the sets inconsistent, the costumes tacky, the effects laughable, and the director must've been ill or something.

But yeah, still better than the movie.

It wasn't flashy, but still, it was interesting. Plus, it was full of eye-candy... Those northern women... And no complaints about combat. It was OK.

P.S. Yes, they took some liberties with the setting's lore, but still, if you watch them before (or even after finishing the game(s) ), you get to know most about geralt's life. Especially the events he must remember soon, like his child of destiny.
