So here we see the spirit of the battlefield, Draug himself:

http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc382/Fnorder/Papercraft/IMG_0002-2.jpg

Apparently he plans to invade Canada and Greenland. A stnadard bottle of ink for size comparison.

In the next picture You'll see the backside of Draug, with a monster approaching from Greenland, and the Wicher Geralt sneaking behind them:

http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc382/Fnorder/Papercraft/IMG_0004.jpg

I do not know what the English name for this corpse eating monstrosity will be, but in the Polish version it's "Zgnilec" (/s-gnee-let's/ with the first s pronounced like the last, and the g like in 'good').

In the next picture the zgnilec tries to intimidate our hero by showing off his enormous bone-crunching teeth!

http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc382/Fnorder/Papercraft/IMG_0006.jpg

Geralt however would not yield to the intimidation effort of such a lowly creature, and breaks the fourth wall by wise-cracking directly looking at his audience.

http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc382/Fnorder/Papercraft/IMG_0008.jpg

Finally he turns towards his foes, and prepares for battle!

http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc382/Fnorder/Papercraft/IMG_0010-1.jpg

EDIT: I've adjusted Draugs leg so that you can't see the fold guiding numbers... duh that should have been obviousto me before!

lol! That's epic stuff Voodoo
The US PCgamer quote, the author talks about rough edges and how it's not a perfect game which I think we all expected so it won't bother me.

What does bother me is the same magazine and indeed most western sites will pounce on any sign of a bug in this game as an excuse to mark the game down but they completely ignore the bugs in Bioware and Bethedsa games.

I loved Fallout 3 but it should never have gotten the scores it did when it's so unstable on all platforms and full of bugs, same with Oblivion.

Only having recently started playing some European RPGs, Divinity etc, I've really noticed the double standards western reviewers apply when marking games from big companies compared to smaller European developers.

All I'll say is thank god for the European teams as Bioware and Bethesda seemed determined to strip away every mechanic from RPGs that takes a moment's thought to understand :(

Sorry about taking it slightly OT but it's something that's been bugging me lately
Kordac, I completely agree. While I loved Mass Effect 2, there were some game breaking bugs in the cover system, at various points. Not enough to ruin the experience, but something to say "how the hell did that get through playtesting!?"

Congratulations dude, that's indeed some epic stuff.
Nailed it kordak. I mean has much as i liked fallout, oblivion and dragon age 2, it should have not gotten the great reviews they got because of the bugs they each had.

There definitely is a bias and there's probably money involved in it...personally I check user scores on metacritic etc and non western reviews to get a better idea on it. Although I do think gamespot and a couple others will be somewhat fair..they did give TW1 an 8.5
Two things we can expect from U.S. reviews of TW2

1. Plenty of prudery. Be prepared for accusations of sexism, perversion, and overt sexuality. The U.S simply cannot deal with mature content in games; like wrapping their minds around the universe or something. Reviews will likely have a juvenile take on the adult content.

2. A certain degree of bias. Let's face it. Bioware, Bethesda, Blizzard - they all get gently coddled while European devs are largely ignored.

* I'm from the states btw, so I have no problem stating this.

I posted about this on another forum but I'll repeat it here.

Such a big deal being made about the sex scenes again but if a show like Game Of Thrones that's aired at what 9pm? can have sex scenes every 20 minutes then why can't an eighteen rated game have sex scenes without all this childish pointing of fingers? You'll probably see more sex in 2 episodes of Game Of Thrones or True Blood than you would in the entire 40 -50 hours you might put into this game.

Yeah wouldn't be a surprise mate. I'm in England and our press aren't far behind yours in that respect.
Did you guys see all the articles on CVG about all the cr*p people are talking about games?
One psychologist claims that games are the cause of an increase in rapes. No evidence mind. They did the same thing with comics back in the day. They just need something to point at and blame.
Awesome Vodoo!

Problem is, in my country games are for children...won't anyone think of the children?

*teary eyed*

Oh well, at least CD red has clearly stuck to their guns in regard to mature content. I'll be laughing at the folks getting their panties in bundle. ;)

Yeah, because its never EVER peoples own fault.

Take a look at every school shooting in the US the past ten years. Look at the offenders. Theyre more or less completely outcast from society. They get bullied, misunderstood, they dont get the psychological help they need.

We can go on...

United States is on par on criminal statistics with countries like Columbia, Mexico and such. Whilst here in Norway, though we have more guns per head than the US we are nowhere near US in murderrates. We play the exact same games that US, we have the exact lame discussion regarding the potential danger in playing videogames, and we see the same on TV as they do in US. We even read american comics.

Why are then norwegians obeying the law while americans steal cars, bomb schools and murder anyone they are related to? (Stretching the line ALOT here i know ;D )

I think we should look at the health care system, the social welfare systems and the means of education in society. All these three are free for everyone in Norway, meaning if youre not completely wacked, you will always have a chance of success somewhere along the road. Anyone can study to be a doctor.

Back to those outcasts that pull guns on their fellow students. If they had a free shrink, and felt in no way that they where failures since they would get a second, a third and a fourth chance anyways... Would they still shoot up their school?

Thats something we should discuss rather than how many teenagers beat ut their grandmas because they could do it on GTA.

Same shit here in brazil. The whole country goes "Weee" 'cause some mad 21 year old decides to go to school and shoot everyone. The guy was bullied his whole life, and he stated in his videos that he was taking revenge for that reason. And then some retarded psychologists get the idea that he did all of that because of some video games. I'd do anything to live in Australia, brazillians are just ignorant.

Ok two things people :) :

1. Don't derail thread ! (With guns, healh care systems etc,) Go watch sicko for USA forecast by M.M

2. Don't you dare to say:

" I mean has much as i liked fallout, oblivion and dragon age 2 "

Fallout 3 agree but fallout as whole GOD NOOO !.

As of USA reviews vs. Europe games.

I disagree. Fallout 1/2, Troika games are proof that people at USA don't have in mind nationality of developers.

As of Europen school of developing, Europen releases from small medium studios were always buggy. New games aren't helping eather in that area.

BUT WE AS GAMERS STRIVE FOR EXPERIENCE.

If a game like Planescape, Deus Ex, Okami, MGS3, SOTC, HOMM3, FALLOT 1/2 won't get 10/10 we know that reviews are wrong. And we know which game will be remembered after 10 years.

Games aren't diffrent from any gengre like music, film, sport etc,

Reviewers are for impressions and if some site is saying that this game is more fun that more games and he gives lower score because there are some bugs... Then sory you are not gamer and your review is not meant for gamers.

Same thing in Wither 1, great game lowered scores for bugs etc,

And recently New Vegas. That game even with bugs is more fun than any other game in 2-3 years.
