VoodooEconomist: They started shipping on the 10th, my local store recieved it on the 13th, I picked it up today.

Of course I'll have to wait for the activation to play it.

But here's the kicker (and sorry about bragging I'm too happy not to share this) as one of the lucky 9999 owners (#711) of the CE my game will be activated on May 16th!

RageGT: Triss approval +100

I'm very happy for you! And if someone dies in envy and wants to donate their CE to me, pls PM me! (stupid country I'm from would charge me higher in tax and transport than the cost of the game)
I know exactly what you mean.... since i live in rio. Shipping costs well over US$60, and there's no way in hell i'd be able to pay for a collectors edition.

VoodooEconomist: My review:

First impressions: the CE is very heavy. I had to carry it 1.5km home, after a full day of manual labour, and my hands hurt.

Second impression: Unpacking now... They... They should've sent a poet!

New pre-review by PC gamer:

"It’s one of the most anticipated RPGs of the year, so obviously it would be grossly mean of me to sit here, smugly patting the review code and looking forward to getting back home tonight and get back to hacking monsters with a silver sword/wooing sexy sorceresses. So far, I’m having much better luck attracting the first than the second. Art mirrors life, I guess.

It’s definitely not a perfect game – for all the Polish polish and obvious love and attention that’s gone into it, it’s an RPG with more than its fair share of rough edges, but I’ve been having a great time with it so far. Can’t say much more than that right now for all the usual pesky embargo reasons, but look out for the review… oooh… real soon."

I'm guessing the American version of PC gamer?
I wondered what's the pre-order numbers now.. Anyone have steam? I heard they can see the top selling title for the month..

Over 100k or so copies, according to this article: http://www.videogamer.com/news/the_witcher_2_pre-orders_reach_over_100k.html
Yeah, its the American version of PCG.

@archaven, Unfortunately, Steam doesn't release sales figures, but right now (last 24 hours), the Witcher 2 has been the number 2 selling game on Steam, right after Brink, and it has had that spot for a few days now. It hasn't dropped from the top ten for atleast a month.

Actually, I think you may be wrong. PCG US and PCG UK merged websites, and the person who wrote that quoted pre-review snippet was actually Richard Cobbett who writes for PCG UK.

40% of 100k are DD services like steam or GOG so probably it is included but also 100k is number only for friday 9 AM in Poland (4-5 AM across USA).

So probably it is already more than 120k. Preorders tend to increase just before release day.
Funny that its behind Brink which has gotten bad reviews.

Go Witcher!

Go Witcher!
Brink is sold on consoles. Dumb people buy consoles so they dont have to figure out how something works. Dumb people are also easily persuaded by the developers themselves, stating theyre making a kickass game. Dumb people buy these games regardless of how bad the reviews are. Developers figure out they can make more bad games to make money so the ends meet. Consoles therefore have tons of bad games.

Sure, this is taking it to the extremes, still theres sadly some truth to it :P

Man that's a terrible unboxing video. I had to turn it off after a few seconds as I was getting dizzy from all the camera movement. I'll wait for a more professional unboxing :)
UPDATE: I have just beaten the Draug (papercraft) boss. It was quite hard, and took me some time and effort. Some pieces I couldn't figure out how to put togerther, but in the end I've used 100% resources given. Oh, and no cheating (glue, tape nor stapler)!

Edit: It's actually 24cm high!

That would be spoiling, wouldn't it? ;-) I'll try as soon as I find a camera.
