That's unfortunate. It's kind of short for a full priced RPG, esp. given that Drakensang is something like 80h and started off at $30...

My take on the series:
I liked TW1, but as much for the game as for the books as the game came out right around the time that the first English translated books were available in the US, but to me Drakensang is one of the best RPGs in years and much better as an RPG than TW series. i.e. TW story was better, unfortunately it lacks in actual RPG mechanics v. Drakensang.

That said TW is still better than the likes of Oblivious, Neverwinter Nights 1+2, etc.

I'd dithered about buying this game, but then I decided WTH after all I paid just about full price for Two Worlds 2 as well, which I felt lacked the charm of the first game. Cheezy faux old english dialog and campy voice acting of the first gave it some character while #2 just felt flat and tasteless. (And I disliked the removal of 1st person perspective as I've always detested modern single char RPGs that use TPP, but I guess that's because I don't care about "let's play dressup" partially and that I feel that FPP makes those games more engaging.)

Now off to install TW2 and see how this one turned out.

very pretty, running decent well on my mid level system. The motion blur on the camera is fun, haven't gotten too far in yet though because of work.

Question, does the answer you pick at the very very beginning change the little beginning story you play or is it always the same? I'll have to go back and try this out.

I don't like the loot system in a small way i can deal with it

the biggest thing is that I do not like the combat system... I loved using my keyboard at times in TW1 but not all the time.... I loved Using my mouse most of all ..... they Screwed it up... especially with fist fighting lol that is hard as hell.... Other than that a good game I am going to give it a B+ there are bugs in it so .....

Loving the game so far. Graphics are fantastic,Music is great as well and really enhances the game. Combat takes a wee bit of getting used to but its fun.

Have to say best game so far this year and better than what has come before it in the last few years (maked dragon age 2 utterly rubbish in comparison).

I would recommend to anyone who loves rpg's.

I would score it 92/100 (a few bugs marr a perfect score but sure be sorted in a patch or two)

my DVD1 is working my old DVd was at fault.

I did copy my DVD1 on my friends laptop and then i burn it again :)

Currently at Chapter 1 beggining on hard. Damn that game on hard is veeeery very hard but on other side it's very fun to play. Deamon Souls with Arcktam asylum combat is very very very fun and rewarding.

Dialogs .. dialogs are just amazing. It's in my top 3 games in therm of dialogs. 1st is the Planescape, next W2 and W1.

Dialogs are just another league. Games like DA or NWN or any other newer RPG feel like have been created by bots.
