Hi, i post here after trying every possible way to play the game normally.

I read the sticky about 3dVision causing the terrible lag issues, and i did as written :

- Clean uninstall of every NVIDIA related app from my programs and harddrive
- Clean install with 275.27 driver WITHOUT 3dVision (even without PhysX).

Stil the same.. I also tried :

- Related driver 275.33 WITH and WITHOUT 3dVision/PhysX installed.
- Latest drivers available from Nvidia control panel (stable and beta) WITH and WITHOUT 3dVision/PhysX installed.
- Even tried the "bcdedit /set onecpu on" thing from dos cmd, by any chance.

Still the same.. My game is totally unplayable with terrible framerate, even on the lowest config available on the launcher.

I still have the first one Witcher to play from the awesome christmas offer so it leave me some time to learn how to fix the 2nd game, but here i am already.. It has been 4 to 5 hours i am browsing forums and rebooted my Pc for Nvidia install countless times.

Please, help me!

MS Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP2
AMD Phenom 9100e Quad-Core Processor, 4.0GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce G100

Not to put too fine an edge on it, but your video card is crap. It's basically a rebranded 9400, which is a terrible gaming solution. In short, your card can't handle the game as it doesn't meet the minimum requirements.

Oh crap is that so? It is like 2-3 years old i got it as replacement unit from my store they couldn't fix my previous ACER for months. I could tell it was cheap but it used to handle WoW just fine back at Lich King time, and my good old ScummVM games of course. The Witcher 1 is playing alright only a bit choppy but 2nd is.. No way :/

Err.. Another opinions maybe? Or is it just my Pc that smells hobo's asses! >.<

The G100 is just not enough for a modern high-end game like Witcher 2. It's not just its age, it was already a low-end card when it came out a few years ago and today it is hopelessly underpowered. Your Phenom CPU is probably fast enough for Witcher 2 when paired with a good graphics card.

I didn't mean to offend, so apologies if I did. But that card is not good for gaming and wasn't when it came out. Your problems are everything to do with the card itself and nothing to do with drivers or other settings. I'm afraid your only solution is to upgrade the card.

Hehe no offense taken, at least i can stop trying to configure that old cheap card as i was thinking about a driver issue at first. Oh well game is sitting on my shelf it won't be far, meanwhile i'll still be able to enjoy the first one to some extent. Thanks for the quick replies! :)

No, the OP's card is much slower, nothing at all like even a 9500 GT.

Counting RAM to determine how fast your graphics card is, is like measuring the size of your tires to determine how fast your car is.

The G100 is an 8-shader card. That's all the pixels it can work on at one time. The 9500 GT (which is the same as the GT120) is a 32-shader card. In theory, though it doesn't measure out quite as well in practice, it's 4 times as fast as the G100.

Since the 9500 GT can just sort of run the game, the G100 is hopeless. A suitable modern upgrade from a G100 would be to a GT 440. I wouldn't go higher, not with that slow CPU.

Yes even with lowest resolution and settings i have tried t would play with a really low frame rate.

The first Witcher is smooth with default settings so im good for now haha, second will wait for a new graphic card or computer another day, no problem!
