hohenfriedberg: The nudity/sex in the game isn't excessive/tasteless, IMHO. (that and you can skip them)
If any of you are watching the HBO series, 'Game of Thrones', then some of what's in that, I think, is a bit 'excessive' (just a bit lol).
I mean, it's one thing to show passion/sex (like the ones w/ Triss), and another to give plot/setting/character exposition during an erotic scene (like scenes w/ Theon and Littlefinger. And 'that' scene w/ Loras and Renly...IMHO, they should've saved that one for the next season; made girls fans of Loras first...then, BAM!). LOL. :D
Great series, tho'. :)
I'm sorry I only just saw this post, had to comment. for one, you're not aware of the slash fandom, are you? Makes no difference, believe me. you know how men find lesbians hot? same thing. And also, despite reading the books I have not yet watched the show, (I really need to get around to it) but that strikes me as odd. In the books, they are in a tent "praying" and you're just left to infer what's REALLY going on.

You know, if I were to accuse this game of sexism, I would focus on the fact that pretty much every semi important female character in this game is a damsel in distress in one form or another, <sarcasm>but we all know that seeing Triss's boobs is much, much worst. </sacrasm>

I'd rather the game was geared towards a male viewpoint than a female viewpoint. If Geralt was a woman we'd
1. Have to stop to meditate an select "Pampering" every time she broke a nail.
2. Wear the flowers in her hair rather than using them to concoct a potion for her swords.
3. Relationships with men would be impossible because we'd always be late or crying because they saw a lovely dog.
4. Mutagens would be based on making your bottom look smaller in those leather trousers.

And here I thought that KILLING stuff would be much more offensive.
You know, if not for sex you wouldn't be here, but apparently you have nothing against the killing in TW2?

Okay... um...
The questions that the whiners here should be asking themselves should not be "Why is this necessary" and "Why is there nudity in here", but rather, "Why is censorship necessary" and "Why is there not nudity in games"? The answer to both of the latter, I believe, is one word: prudishness. The reasons for this prudishness, of course, are different for everyone and I won't bother trying to speculate on every person here who's hyperventilating because they saw a nipple.
I will tell all of you whiners what offends me: it is people who tell me that if I'm watching TV I'm not allowed to hear certain words because they're 'offensive', nor glimpse certain parts of the human body because children aren't supposed to be aware that their bodies will change at some point . . . that if I'm watching a film I'm not allowed to witness bare skin on a human being unless it's a shower scene or sex scene and therefore "justified" and also if it's brief . . . that if I'm playing a game I'm not allowed to believe that there's a world outside of people busting other people's guts open with a sword or a spray of bullets so they can gain XP.
To me, the nudity seems pretty natural. I don't see why it even phases anyone.
(And, to be clear: if Geralt were naked in this game, a lot of people would be throwing a fit and the game would probably be censored in America. Has anyone considered this, and if so, have they bothered asking themselves why the censorship?)
