I'm enjoying this game and chuckling on the memorable dialogues throughout.. So thought I would see what you thought about the script writing so far.

One memorable moment for me was Ch 1 opening scene fleeing Iorveth archers:
Triss: "Is that you, Roche?! Get your hands off my ass!" (being carried by Roche and delirious from spell casting overdose)

Pls also post(if possible) which chapter or quest so peeps can appreciate your ..well appreciation!

Breaking the fourth wall (in a sense) when they start talking about rings and guiding and questing off to a volcano etc. Cracked me up.

The game (and to a lesser extent, the first one) also has many moments that probably completely go over the head of anyone who hasn't read the novels. Which is a shame, as that's a lot of... nuances. ;p

There's a Random Citizen hanging arround the Blue Stripes HQ in chpt1, he's got a message from Thaler... Sweet Melitele, how I miss that bastard!

Only two of the books (one a short story collection) are in English. I believe, if you don't want to be less than ethical, you can find them in Google Books. Even just those two, I think, open up your understanding of characters/places/events that you take part of in the game, as the game has tried hard to simply be a continuation of the novels.

My favourite part has been when you ask Triss about your tattoo and she giggles at you. So cute!

I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings references in Chapter 2. I agree with the above poster as well. <3 Triss.

One thing that really caught me off guard was when Triss talked about shorty's manhood. I was like "Whoa! You're cheating on me!" Then I remembered that Geralt sleeps with a bunch of chicks so its fair.

The rather...ribald comments by the dwarves as you recruit the dwarves to help with the mine, and then later when you get ready to enter the mine to clear it of baddies, if you choose Iorveth's side cracked me up as well. Though I suppose they hardly count as nuances, as there is nothing subtle about them. :/

The dwarves are a source of constant vulgar amusement.

The account given to a hungover Geralt about his night of debauchery is priceless.

For some reason I found Geralt's reaction to Dandelion entering (in my game) the Succubuss' den hillarious.

Also. "Lesbomancy". Lawl.

I might remember it slightly wrong but this scene from Ch 2 really cracked me up:

Troll: I'm cooking elf-soup. With onions. Wanna try?
Geralt: I really don't like onions.
Troll: What are you saying?! Elves taste much better with onions.

I like Zoltan's line, "Geralt, you old goat! Sit down! Drinking alone's as bad as shitting in company."

There are some lines that are UNintentionally funny, though. Geralt has a number of things he says to monsters from time to time, and I guess they must be chosen randomly, because when he was fighting the dragon at the end of Chapter 3, he said, "I wonder how many more of these will turn up?" Uh, Geralt, it's a freaking DRAGON. If there were any more in the area, you'd know. :-)

Another UNintentionally amusing experience: When I played the Roche path in Chapter 2, I stumbled upon the guy who had Selkirk's armor at the very beginning of the chapter, he turned hostile and fought me, and after I killed him, I took and wore his armor because it was better than mine. Then, hours and hours later, I had a conversation with Zyvik where I could ask about symbols of courage, faith, hatred, and death, and he told me about Selkirk's armor. Geralt says -- no choice to say anything else -- "Where's Selkirk's armor now?" And I'm shouting at the screen, "It's on your BACK, @sshole!" I think they needed a dialogue flag there. :-)

I just realized that when you enter Philippa's house (at least in Iorveth's path), you can see Triss on her table. You know, the friggin' figurine...

First time I saw it I was like "hmm, what's that", and when I saw it again with the dead nilfgaardian, I remembered that I saw it at Philippa's.

And my jaw dropped when the embassador showed me what the figurine was about..

You find an elf named Drizzt in Chapter 2 (Iorveth's side).

There are two men named Gondor and Rohan as well. I forget where in the game they are though. Oh, and in Flotsam there's a guy called Radagast!

I do love seeing LotR references in games :D
