bhoqeem: Geez...alright, alright...
My bad!
I wasn't being sarcastic :(

Seriously. I've derailed soooooo many threads.

dnna: One topic had to be sacrificed until we get a proper forum with General discussion :) For the greater good and all that.
Only one topic? There are a couple threads full of pointless bickering that could use derailing for the greater good. Too bad revial isn't around anymore, because we used to get recipes when people started arguing. From something ugly, something delicious :)

Well, I said what I had to say in that other topic, nobody is getting anywhere by being rude to other users. And there's plenty of pointless name calling. Such topics don't deserve to be derailed, they deserve to fade into the obscurity of page 83 or something. At least I got some Ultima series recommendations out of it.

I like how everyone is so laid-back about topic derailing on this forum. We can jump back to the original topic anytime, really :D

Huh???
.....

Ehem...

Cough, cough...

I'm cool. Maybe we should open that General Thread dnna suggested. Is there really no such thread here? I mean, within Witcher 2 GoG forum?

It's not technically derailing. Just keeping it warm while everyone thinks up incredibly intelligent remarks that are relevant to the original intent of the thread. Really, this is a public service.

Revial was a guy around here when I first got here, and when people would start arguing, he'd post a huge recipe to distract people and take the topic so far off-topic that it was difficult for people to keep arguing. It was pretty amusing to watch, actually. Sadly, there was less arguing back then, so I'm still bad at cooking.

Ahh.... I see..
Too bad he's not around here anymore, ya? Judging from the use of "was".
What happened? --unless you'd consider this another derailing...

Pfft. I told you, derailing is awesome. Why do you not believe me? :(

No idea what happened. Probably just got bored and moved on. Or maybe he got eaten by an alligator. Or bitten by a radioactive spider and became a superhero. There's really no way of knowing. His rep swelled ridiculously fast, though--it was over a hundred by the end of May, which is when his "registered" date was. Maybe he was using multiple accounts to +1 all his comments and got banned? Maybe someone just liked him and +1ed all his comments. Maybe that person became jealous that others could do the same and attacked him in a jealous rage. Maybe he's in a duffel bag in a river somewhere.

Alas, there's no way of knowing. Luckily, there are those such as you, me, vAddictedGamer, dnna, Ebon-Hawk and a few others who carry on in a similar fashion. Hopefully we're afforded the same freedom to ramble on about random things in the official forums :)
There is no train, its all a lie.

Oii.... what a suppositions there. interesting bits of imaginations, too.
And yes, I believe we will all see each other again in the official CDPR forum. That'd be nice.
I just googled Revial, I'm afraid he was gone by the time I arrived here. Too bad, I could use some new recipes.

I don't mean to deify him, of course.

Although that would be fun. We could have a Witcher-forum pantheon. Dibs on being the god of stating the obvious, sarcasm, and internet ragequits.

EDIT: Also, of responding with something totally irrelevant to the quoted post. I was going to say something relevant, but then my mind wandered. My bad.

Hmmm, becoming a deity? Tempting. Do I get to choose an animal head to hide my face from them mere mortals and spectacular super-powers?

I don't recall you ragequitting, ever (quite the contrary). I dub thee the Kayran overlord and saviour of many broken games. :)

bhoqeem: Ultima Series [...]

Ehem. Yeah, I practically grew up with Ultima. The X-Files generation. Now, let's get back to Witcher series, eh?
avatar
dnna: Ah, thanks for the brief explanation :) I managed to find SNES versions of VI and VII, emulated them on my Nintendo DSi now. It's a perfect platform for old games :) I guess finding 8 and 9 won't be too hard if I like 6 and 7 enough to want to continue :D
Nope. http://www.torrentreactor.net/torrents/1818414/Ultima-7-8-amp%3B-9 Don't know the site, but it didn't tickle my security stuff, so I guess it is okay.

If you want, of course. Personally, I'm going to cover myself in glitter so that I'm all sparkly and divine-looking, but whatever floats your boat.

Super-powers are strictly of the "bring your own" variety, sadly, but animal heads seem as though they'd count as a hat, which is wholly appropriate seeing as how this pantheon embraces casual attire :)

You know, because togas can be uncomfortable sometimes.
