So I have an issue and my father (on his computer) has the same issue. We don't see any text - neither in menu nor game dialogues. In menu the text is visible only on mouse hover, but in dialogue not even then.

The problem must be with ATI graphics, we both have these and I got it just when I changed my nVIDIA 9800GT for a HD 5850 (he has HD 6870), because the old one burnt down.

Haven't found anything about it. Is it really so rare problem or actually too common and there's a hotfix or something?

Thanks in advance

reinstall?
No I tried it before ofcourse, so is the thing with GPU drivers and so on.
you should email tech support. this is the first I have heard of the problem.
It is a known driver issue. In case of missing text in game, please update your graphic card drivers and Catalyst Application Profile to latest version.

They already are the latest ones. Got my current card last week and downloaded the latest ones immediately.
The problem is caused by old version of Catalyst Application Profiles. Make sure you have it installed on top of graphic card drivers. It needs to be installed seperately. You can download it here:

Is the CCC working (can you activate it) - if you have Win 7 and it is older install, chances are that it's not activated and you cant adjust the GPU.

I just simply say - I'm not a dumbass.

And this application profiles thing installs also automatically with CCC package.

Thank you for your replies, doesn't work yet.

First of all, no one said / suggested you are a dumbass (as far as I can see). Did you try to install the CAP on top of the automatically installed one, just to see what happens?
Yes I did.
For this guy, reverting from 11.6 to 11.5 fixed the problem:

If you can't get it to work with the most recent version, maybe give that one a try.
