I am at act 3 now, and although i missed the guy in Act 1, his items in Act 2 were very useful. Can anyone shed some light about his location in Act 3?

Mysterious Merchant was the DLC for Gamestop. It's a special merchant that sells you items either not available else where, or that are usually a reward from a subboss. In Act 1 he is over by the path to dock by where you can get reward money for killing the kayran. In Act 2 he is on the walkway outside the inn/bar. I just got to Act 3, so I don't know where he is there. :)

So unfair. I don't have the DLC (ordered from GOG, surprise surprise) but those vendor locations show up on my map. I had been wondering whether I was missing something...

I think they said they were going to release all pre-order dlc after a while. Your gog bonus is the digital artbook.

That would be good. I wasn't complaining about the GOG pre-order stuff, btw. It's just odd (a bug?) if the vendor locations show up even if you don't have the relevant DLC.

Just look for the merchant symbol on your map, and check each one.

Yeah already did that, but the Act 3 city is a friggin maze of old ruins. There is one part of the city i have not yet explored because i dont know how to get there. I thought someone with more knowledge could help me.

there is a large gate (i can't remember where but must be somewhere around the main gate or the opposite side, amphitheatre). and when you pass that gate, there are 3 big doors in the new area. you can look for new areas through those doors.

AFAIK he isn't present in chapter 3. In the other chapters, he would appear on the map as well, with the merchant icon. Maybe this is an oversight

Oh crap, I spent so much time running in circles thinking that he must be on a different level or that I was bugged.

I don't have that DLC but my minimap still has the location marked. I have walked to those locations multiple items a day wondering where the trader was. Thanks for clearing up my confusion.
