Weightless Recipes and Schematics +

Small modification that do exactly that - removes weight from recipe and schematic scrolls and add some weight to books.
It seemed illogical to me that every book and tome in game is as light as air, and at the same time sheets of paper with writings on them weight 100g each, so here it is:
- recipes, shematics, letters etc. - no weight (was 0.1)
- books - 0.3 weight (was 0)

Download - http://www.witchernexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8
Install - just unpack and place "CookedPC" folder in Witcher 2 install directory.
Uninstall - remove files "def_item_books.xml", "def_item_recipes.xml", "def_item_schematics.xml", "def_weights.xml" from "The Witcher 2\CookedPC\items\".

Changelog:
v1.5
- updated files to Witcher Enhanced Edition (3.0)
v1.4
- updated files to Witcher 2.0 patch
v1.3
- updated files to Witcher 1.3 patch
v1.2
- updated files to Witcher 1.2 patch
- fixed some letters and notes weights (back to 0)
v1.1
- added 0.3 weight to books
- added weights from 0.1 to 0.9 in def_weights.xml
v1.0
- initial release

Enjoy!

Nice one, thanx!
Quick question about it: is it possible to edit values regarding books? (i know that books by default don't have weight, but it would be more logical that they had some weight since they are, or should be several pages long....
Just sayin' though...

Yeah, that should be fine overall.
I'm not trying to be nitpicky or anything like that, but ideally each book should have a different weight, since not all books share the same amount of pages. Once again, it would be terrific if you let the possibility to edit manually those values (at least) so we can re-arrange that to our choice.
Cool mod, but the link is broken atm.

I'd like some weight too. 0.1kg seems about right. In general though, I don't care--I'll grab this mod regardless.

Nice work!

It's no nitpick - i agree with that, just next logical step for modding)
It is - all item definitions is in Notepad editable .xml file so manual fixes is easy. There are one peculiarity though - all weight is done via item abilities, that stored in another xml, so if you want to do some special weight, 0.3 for example, it need be edited too.
Give me some minutes, ill post the files.

Fantastic!
Thanks for all the extra work i'm putting you through :P
Ah yeah, tried the link again. Works!
Here you go - all books with weight 0.3 plus weights file with additional 0.1-0.9 kg settings (was only 0.1, 0.2 and 0.5) - http://www.witchernexus.com/downloads/download.php?id=16

Since all books now heavy, it needs balancing - there are quest scrolls, letters etc. that should remain weightless.
Fix what you want and share fixed file for the rest of us =)
Awesome Itparsons!
I'll download it when i get home and start playing with the values a little bit to see if i can get it working to my liking. Hopefully i'll be able to upload some file by the end of this week.
Once again thanks for all the work!
Hi I have W2 on Steam, and can't seem to find the folder to add this in. Can I not use this mod?

Don`t have it on Steam, so cannot really say.
If i recall correctly how Steam works, Witcher dir should be somewhere in "Steam\steamapps\common\", try search there.
