I'd REALLY love a mod that removes the cooldown timer on the wolf talisman/pulse.
I'm playing on a plasma screen and would love a more minimalistic hud if it's at all possible.
I would love a mod that prevented the use of quest items in synthesis of potions.

First chapter, I can no longer get essence of death as it was used in potion synthesis. What would work well would be a way to mark certain ingredients (quest ingredients already marked that way) so that it prevents you from using them for a potion.

Is this possible?

Even a storage container at the inn would be good so you could put quest specific ingredients in there not to be touched.

Red_Avatar: h) reduce the weight of crafting items - because there's no storage (unlike the first game), you have to drag stuff everywhere and because iron ore and such weighs too much, it's just not doable to pick everything up yet, I hate not being able to pick up everything.
You're in luck -- this mod already exists. See here:

we need a mod to adjust the ridiculous trading in this game, not once in the game was i able to get a good deal on a weapon or piece of armour that i was selling regardless of how rare and powerful it was.

One example of this was i had a very nice piece of Armour (rare) which i sold for 60 orens only to find that if i wanted to buy it back he was going to charge me 2400 orens !!!!!

Not once in the game was i able to get over 100 for anything i sold lol

I agree - the game is very harsh when selling anything. I think the original Witcher sold 5 to 1 meaning if you bought something for 500, it sold for 100. That was already a tough one, but in Witcher 2 it feels more like 10 to 1 or even 20 to 1 which is pretty ridiculous. With dice games no longer being profitable (someone mod that too, please!) you're down to just selling all the crap and looting everything for orens. Most of my orens, I got from looting.
A head model of the previous, younger version of Geralt that made everyone nerd rage.
A mod giving me the old Triss face back!
will be great to have a mod that increase the distance of camera from the shoulder of geralt

the best could be to have the zoom adjustable via the mouse scroll button, but also a little bit, just to have a better vision of situation.
- more blocks. eg blocks use up less Vigor.
Im in chapter 1 and id like to be able to block more than once and use a sign from time to time !

- ui indicator of number of items remaining in quickslots/pockets. - right now i cant tell if i have 1 bomb or 10.

- ui indicator of items geralt is wearing when selling at merchants. currently we see his backpack inventory but not any armor or sword he is actually wearing. this is so you can compare stats and make correct purchasing decision.

xsupz: remove auto-targeting and add back a cursor
Wholeheartedly agree. There is nothing more annoying in this game as pixelhunting for loot with camera movement. (And I know about the medalllion but at the end of act 2 there is a fight with arachsmthing before you go to talk to Iorveth with Zoltan, there is a cutscene after the fight, and f-ing body disappears and the bag remans invisible even after medallion, and there is Melitele's Heart ingridients loot on this) I mean, seriously, rpg w/o cursor?
Auto-targeting is especially annoying when trying to enter the door and there is a clickable object nearby. You have to look directly on the door, 10 degrees off and Geralt will try to mimic Dumbledore by switching lights on and off. Binding all in-game objects on single button was a very poor UI-wise decision (and consolish, for what its worth, which all PC players are paying for right now).
Dear modders, is there a way to separate loot/doors objects and use them on [space] from lights/other enviromental interactive, which are to be used on [mouse1]?
Would be great to have a mod that increase a bit the distance of camera from Geralt or adjustable zoom (with the mouse scroll button) like in Witcher 1.
The old OTS was good with a bit sidesifted character.

I'd like that as well - i suspect it would cause bugs inside caves and such, though. Cameras are never easy to do and often cause all sorts of bugs if not properly done. But, if it's doable, I'd love this - during combat, keeping an eye on everything around you is paramount.
It would be great to have a mod that enables insane mode without dying permanently. The game on hard diff atm has a few difficult fights but overall still very easy.

Finished W1 with FLASH MOD a few months ago, now that was hard ;)

Completely agree, the lighting/extinguishing of fires even happens during fights. I was fighting wraiths in the crypt and Geralt made this huge leap towards the enemy... only to set a torch on fire right next to it. :@ And then turn it off :@ :@
