It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Yeah I have noticed that you can't meditate in some areas as well. A bit annoying when you want to potion up for a fight!
So is there any way to recreate the potion from the Witcher 1 with mods, I would trade 100 orens for it or internet cookies.

Not right now at least... we'd likely need access to the uncompiled scripts , at the least, and depending on how the game reads them, some way to compile them too.

There is a difference: In the areas I mentioned I was able to drink potions, but not to meditate. ;)
Hmm, not working for me.

I'm having the same problem as SlackerSupreme, only I've tried everything and it still doesn't work. I've tried all the files linked in the first post and save them directly to CockedPC\items. In the case of the 30min one, I of course had to rename the Items.zip to def_stats_item_potion.xml (not sure why it's a fake zip file?).

I even tried using different browsers, Firefox, IE, Chrome, not that I think that make any difference. The symptoms are identical to SlackerSupreme - i.e. no effects showing at all, though they are removed from inventory after drinking.

hmm, i downloaded the zip (30 mins potion/oil except cat remaining 5 mins) few hours ago , extracted the files to the path mentioned and everything is working well , i don't know why you had to rename stuff
I love this mod, thank you!
I use the 30 min. version, that's enough to get through a nice amount of time in the forest, without needing only one potion for a lifetime. ;)

Yeah, you need an "Items" Folder inside your CookedPC folder. And the .xml inside the Items folder! Works fine!

-----------

Is there a way to make a mod changing the "All items" on the inventory into "Junk" and displaying only the junk there? That would be highly appreciated for Inventory management! =)
When getting it from the download page make sure to right click on the link and "Save Target As . . ". Don't copy/paste the XML file, that file is a uuencode'd file, you need it in it's correct format.

At least that was my mistake (trying to copy/paste). The error you're making might be different, as the symptoms may just be an indication of the potions file failing to work.

Ohhh..

Well, its not a fake zip file, UNPACK IT and copy the contents where the 1st post says ;) Since the 30m version of the mod is for potions and oils it naturally is 2 files, and had to pack those ;p

So Download the zip
unzip it somewhere of your choice
copy the 2 xml files to the location in cookedpc\Items and it'll work..

It doesn't care whether you block ads, the download link is always the link below the AD (or below the "you blocked our ads" thingy)
Thanks so much for making this mod!

I loved alchemy in TW1, and in TW2, potions and oils seemed (to me, at least) like they weren't worth bothering with for anything except boss battles. Thanks for bringing potions back into the game!

I loved TW1, and I've been impressed with what CDPR has managed to accomplish, for a little company with not much experience, but it seems like in testing TW2, they only used people who'd already drunk the kool-aid. They needed some outside testers who could say, "Hey, guys, this part isn't fun -- fix it."

Thanks for fixing one of the not-fun parts. :-)

I found the the problem. You need to have cookies on. For most sites I block them. Thanks for the MOD.
