I recently built another computer and changed from Windows XP to Windows 7. I backed up my The Witcher 2 download on an external HD, and when I installed it on W7 and tried to launch it, I get an error about MSVCR100.dll
I'm downloading the game again, in case the backup got corrupted. But I rather fix it, since it's such a big file.
Thanks.

That's part of the MS Visual C++ redistributables. The easy way to fix it is to install it from Microsoft's Web site.

I installed what you told me, but the problem persisted. Then I noticed that Service Pack 1 was still not installed, so I did and everything works now. Thanks.

I had the same problem. You need to download new dll file, you can find it here http://fix4dll.com/msvcr100_dll or on the Microsoft official source. But don't install any tools or soft, it can be dangerous.
