Any way to convince it to stop trying to download the DLC or whatever?

Is it actually trying to download DLC, or is it just trying to connect to give you that little orange lightning symbol in the upper left hand corner.

10 second countdown, trying to establish connection, starting download, rinse, repeat, every 20-ish seconds edit: the orange lighning bolt is there anyway, all the time

Wait, so you ARE downloading DLC?

revial: Well, that's nothing. If it really bothers you to watch your Loader keep trying to connect to the CPR server, you could always block it on your firewall. :p Why you're staring at your Loader in the first place, I won't ask.

I thought you meant you were trying to download a language pack or something and had gotten into an infinite loop where it kept re-downloading it.
I tried to get the troll trouble thing 2 days ago. It doesn't bother me too much, but it's still trying.

It is NOT downloading, but it goes through all the steps

For me, the issue was fixed by running the patcher (I was in the same endless loop with a language pack once). It reset my Launcher. Others have not had that work and had to edit their registry. I'd try running the patcher first though (with your Launcher closed, obviously).

argh, was hoping to avoid that because the game itself is running fine, but ok... I'll be back if I need more help with the registry keys.

Thanks :)

You don't have to actually run the latest patch btw. You should have the zero day patch in your install directory. You could run that instead if you didn't want to patch up to 1.1.

I'll look for that first, then :) Cool!
