yup i'm having similar results. I can't play this game at my native resolution of 1680x1050, terrible fps.

Running the game at low most stuff disabled at 1280x800 getting roughly around 28-35fps, i'ts pathetic to be honset.

I haven't even visited into a town yet.

On high settings without SSAO and Anti-Aliasing my framerates are pretty choppy and inconsistent. Its perfectly playable but generally my FPS is a bit under 30fps in open areas and maybe 30-40 in indoor areas. I'm even playing on 1600x900 to give it a bit of a boost.

I am in the same boat. Getting choppy performance on my HP Envy 17. I just unistalled the game - better wait for the patches to come out, hopefully improving game's performance. Until then, I am not even going to bother.

P.S. This is the first and the last time I am pre-ordering a video game, since being an early adopter didn't provide me with any benefits, just the headache.

I only had a chance to run it for about 30 minutes before heading to work, but I put it at high settings and it played smoothly. Haven't tried ultra yet, but I suspect that won't be fluent enough to be worth it.

AMD are pretty lame with drivers btw, have fun waiting.

Have a 285m, an i7, 4GB of Ram and am also not getting great FPS.

Playable though. Have a mixture of medium settings/some high and a lot of stuff disabled (AA, SSAO, V-Sync, motion blur, depth of field).

In the first village just now - getting about 30 FPS just about there, occasional drops to 26 but 50FPS in any caverns/dungeons so far.

Opening scene was a little chuggy though - must have been all the guards rendered at once.

Updated to the new Beta drivers released today and little to no improvement noted. Also uninstalled 3D drivers to no avail.

Hoping CD Project add a little something in a patch (once saw a 75% performance increase due to a patch with Dirt 2 so I can dream for a similar thing here....)

Hopefully I'll be able to install it in a few hours on my MSI GT725

Yeah, ATI(now AMD) drivers suck worse under linux(godawful video playback) and even act up with some windows apps in specific and repeatable instances. This nb was my first ATI product in a LONG time and my last even IF they were to manage to cough up a better GPU arch than nVidia again.

I really only got this one as with the 48XX series of ATI mobility GPUs were IDENTICAL to the desktop versions just with their core/RAM clocks cut back a bit while the nVidia mobile GPUs were severely castrated v. their desktop counterparts. ATI went back to castrating their mobile parts as well after the 48XX series...

Yeah, that was the main reason why I unistalled the game altogether - I knew I would have to wait a while for ATI to release a patch. Luckily for Nvidia users, they are pushing BETA drivers already.

Also, being a game design student, I am required to have a laptop with a decent GPU. In addition, gaming laptops consume less electricity and take way less space than a dedicated "battle station", which are important factors when you live in a tiny apartment with your girlfriend. Other than that I would have never considered a gaming laptop.

don't use older drivers and expect good performance moron, I thought people learned from DA 2 when people were getting 10 fps with 580 sli.

hmm laptop and gaming you'd think they would go hand and hand....NOT!!!

They dumb down graphics for consoles to make them run better thats why most games look awful and a battery powered laptop is suppose to give you flight-simulation graphics...
