yeh just finished it and here are my thoughts,

this "game" is 95% into graphics, details and cinematics... (it is the part on what the most of budget has been spent on)

the action of gameplay and combat stinks a lot -(GTAIV-style (same 3d engine))

linear and corridor style of gameplay, with invisible walls, no open world, no freedom... *AT ALL*

as an RPG game, it is FAR FAR FAR from the level of richness, freedom and quality of Elder's Scrolls: IV Oblivion , it beats oblivion only in graphics and visual details (not gameplay)

i will not look into witcher 3..

in the history of this world, there has been ONLY ONE rpg game: ES IV: OBLIVION, and i really hope Skyrim will meet the same quality...

Really? The fact that your decisions in-game affect what happens doesn't matter to you? Still not an RPG game? Alrighty then.
Of all the Elder Scroll series you chose Oblivion? (which was critically panned by their own fans) and GTA IV? Just how old are you? Your statement is like a "fanboy-ism". Why don't you look them as separate game? and stop comparing games between games.

I think he might have been to young to even know about Morrowind, let alone be able to play it.
if only there was a game with the richness and gameplay style of Oblivion combined with Witchers2 graphics and details , it would be the ultimate RPG game ever created
Only graphics? Linear? lol
Did you even bother to try different choices in the game? I would say they spent humongous amount of time to make it the most non-linear game ever! Morrowind & Oblivion in comparison are as linear as a rail with repetitive unimportant dungeons with mostly nothing inside. In Morrowind & Oblivion is the only one way to solve quests and no branching at all. In Morrowind there are lots of optional things to do but all of them are linear.
Here is a list of games you didn't like: Portal 2, Crysis 2, GTA IV, GTA SA, Bioshock 2, Dead Space 2 and even Packman is a stupid game. Crawl back to mayple story and don't leave it alone... moron!
Some of you need to get a new perspective.
Witcher 2 IS linear.
try jumping ffs.

You have no freedom to move between areas = linear.
and there are plenty of other examples.

And i love this game, just make it more free roam please.

Richness? Even though I like the Elder Scrolls Series, those games are missing interesting characters, choices with consequences in the storyline, and non linear storyline. It is open world, a sandbox game, it is great for that. But Oblivion is the worst in the Elder Scroll series. For me, Arena and Daggerfall were the best, then Morrowind not to far behind those, and Oblivion is way below Morrowind. Oblivion really lost most of what made The Elder Scrolls so great. It took a major overhaul by the mod community to really make Oblivion into what it should have been.
Can someone show me how to quote on here please ?

ps what does rep mean ?

I don't think the word "linear" means what you think it means. This isn't an open-world RPG, and it wasn't ever billed as such. Being disappointed that there are clear-cut areas (that you can explore at your leisure) is like being disappointed because there are no guns in this game. That's simply not the kind of game this is, and being disappointed because of such things is hardly a valid criticism.

So you and the OP like free roam games? Go play them. Don't complain that not every game fits that mold, though.
