So I'm at the kayren battle and after a few tries I manage to chop off three tentacles. Apparently after that there's supposed to be a QTE where Geralt rides a tentacle and deals some damage to the monster, but I can't seem to trigger it. I've done this four times now and each time no tentacle ride. I figure I must be missing the cue to trigger it, but I can't for the life of me see anything on screen indicating what to do.

So can someone toss me a clue on this? Is there somewhere specific I have to move to or a button/mouse click I need to do at a specific time in order to trigger the QTE? I'm at a loss here. Thanks.

the cues are disturbingly hard to see in that fight and highly annoying. It's a 3 step thing on normal. First it's RMB when the tentacle sweeps in from right to left. Then you need to mash LMB until the bar is full then you need to keep an eye out for a prompt to hit SPACEBAR. This is the important one as you will die if you miss it.
