Ok, I'm trying to kill the Kayran. I cut off 3 of his tentacles, while avoiding hits and poison. Then there's a QTE where Geralt is riding a tentacle, and I'm clicking left mouse as shown on screen... after which I fall down and the monster starts throwing rocks on me... And that's it. I've done it several times, but when I try to attack it or provoke it, I just die. There's no access to the rest of the tentacles, and the damn thing does not want to stop hitting me with rocks... I can hide behind the largest rock, and if I just stand there, my health goes up, but he continues to throw rocks...

Does anyone knows what to do next? I'm sure there is some scripted event and specific trigger, but I'm unable to find it... I've even read the guide from Gog, and it said "when you cut of 4 tentacles, there will be QTE which will end the fight", but I can not get to the 4th tentacle... :(

I'll keep trying of course, but if anyone had more success, I would appreciate some pointers...

WTF? I can't get to the top while that thing is throwing rocks in the bridge!

Just spam dodge/roll and you should be able to avoid the rocks.

And/or use your Quen sign. It'll absorb just about everything (even a direct Kayran tentacle hit on hard)

I have cut off all 4 tentacles and no bridge has fallen and no rocks are being thrown. I am simply constantly being swept up by the tentacles and having to QTE out of it. Any ideas?

You have to 'win' that QTE event, the one where you jump on the tentacle (automatically). Spam either L or R MB, I forget which, then it'll take down the bridge.

For the second time I have cut off all tentacles and ridden the damn thing 3 or 4 times (mashed the button until he threw me off) and still no bridge collapse. God this is frustrating!

Update: FINALLY!!!! I got the answer from another forum. Apparently my screen resolution was set too high so the mouse clicks on the QTE were lagging! Once I reduced the resolution I beat it in like 2 minutes. So for anyone else having this problem reduce the screen res and you should be good to go.

Which level do you have to be to solve this quest? I'm level 6, and I'm getting killed by the "drowners" that comes running close to the ship wreck. No chance to kill them at all...

Had the same issue.

Especially as the beast still has some health left and one more tentacle to cut off. Makes it very confusing when the game doesn't specify that you need to kill it with a bomb or necessarily even can climb the fallen masonry.

Use Triss as your meat shield (if you brought her along).

La perforación de la última tentáculo es un QTE (Quick Time Event), hay que pulsar el botón del ratón rápidamente. Si esto no funciona, baje la resolución del monitor o apagar QTE en el menú.

Si el puente se derrumba, vaya a la izquierda y subir a la ruina a matar el Kayran. ¡Buena suerte!
