You could probably upload your save and get someone to do it for you, rather than shelving the game, if you really can't do it yourself.

I just rolled up the incline, on normal, and did it first try.

Hrm, I did it on hard and I only died once because that pathing was fuck awful. You definitely have to go up the left side of the broken bridge piece. Don't try to just bumrush it, try to keep your focus on the two tentacles smashing down on you, especially the left, closer one. I just kept my eye on them and watched the animations to try to predict when and where they would be coming down and adjusted accordingly. Also, I wouln't use the dodge ability when trying to avoid the tentacles - you actually cover more ground faster by just running.

yeah Using qeen is great.... the only little problem is that if you get hit by a rock once by the time you get up, the second rock is on your head killing you....and activating qeen on the bridge is suicidal... Also sometimes rock hit takes you from 100% to 25 % and sometimes jsut 1 kills you idk by what is determined that... also the bridge is upwards not straight so you move slower... dodging aoe rock is kinda hard haha I cant manage.. die every time there and on top of that I have this fucking low fps problem..... dont ask how I get almost each time to the bridge and die like 20 times a day before I quit... I think everyone that manage this on normal or higher difficulty did it by luck !!! nice game on normal difficulty tell you that !

I did it on Normal - took me a few tries. I even killed it and then died from a glitch and had to do it again heh! I didn't rage though.

I'm still stuck on the keyran quest. It says that I need to go to the tavern and ask around. I tried talking to everyone, but nothing. Bard and dwarf sit at the table and you cant communicate to them, while Triss stands by the window and you can only chat to het about the past.

What should I do?

I've been to the town commander and got "caught while sneaking", so I didn't get the frame, but this shouldn't prevent me from proceeding with the quest, right?

switch it to easy difficulty and you will be fine. After beat the Karyan than switch it back. You will still get the same exp though.

I have had that happen in another game. I would have gone ballistic. You work so hard to have it blown away due to a glitch.

I had problems with the Kayran battle as well. But I found a way of defeating it.

First, if you run in the outer periphery there is less chance of the Kayran's tentacles hitting you. Secondly, to the left is the root of the bridge which looks like a giant foot. When I stood behind there I never got hit, neither from the tentacles nor the stone throwing. This a great place to run after the Kayran gets mad, which happens after you have cut off 2 tentacles.

Make sure you look up in the sky so you can see when the tentacles are coming down at you. Then roll away in good time.

Once you have placed a Yrden sign, Roll away and then sheild yourself with the Quen sign. Then run back and forth close to the Yrden trap until a tentacle is trapped and then hack away at the tentacle. Your Vigor is probably out at this point so run at the outer periphery until you have regained some vigor.

The tentacles will get trapped in the Yrden eventually, you just have to patiently run back and forth close to the Yrden trap. Also if you are protected by Quen you can stand on the trap, the tentacle will hit you and then get trapped. You then have time to swing your sword at the tentacle while regaining your Vigor.

I did this on Hard difficulty, so I am sure it is just a matter of finding the pattern of when and where the tentacles will strike. Also, stay away from the middle, as the Kayran spits out poison in that direction.

You have to actually go to the room ABOVE the tavern.

I just beat this boss.I defeated it twice once on easy and second time on normal difficulty.I strongly recommend to watch the YouTube video regarding the boss.It will help u a ton.On easy the boss does pathetic damage until it becomes enraged.Dodge fast while it is enraged.Always keep Quen up.Never ever rush to the boss,try to remain in the outer perimeter as much as possible.Also make sure your frame-rate is stable,my friend running on 9800Gt had performance issues with this fight.My Gtx580 made the frame-rate silky smooth.
