mikesh: I don't expect my hand to be held though. I worked my way through Fallout3, Oblivion and so on without this kind of 'qte' problem occuring even once. And that was on lesser machines. But a new graphic card for this one is definitely an option
227: Well yeah, but those games are incredibly less demanding of your computer.
I've heard rumors that decreasing the game resolution can help with the QTEs. You might try that before giving up on it, especially since you got a second opinion and it sounds like it's not a problem of you being unable to click fast enough. It seems as though playing at a higher resolution than your computer can really handle leads to only a certain number of mouse clicks being registered, which would then make filling up the QTE bar nigh impossible.
It wouldn't be as pretty, but you could always save after the QTE and revert back to your previous resolution.
I also had the same problem like you. It's tougher than yours I surely say.I even called my friend to my house to solve this problem cause I can't handle this alone. It's not a problem with your clicking in Qte.You can use left and right click on it's tentacle.I think lowing down you resolution can help you.
