I was sincererly impressed by the way our beloved CD Project deals with us, customers. I could praise your excellent work and support for long long hours. But let me just thank you for what you have done with TW2 enhanced edition and with adding our digital version on gog.com. I am loyal customer of gog and I think I was among first to buy TW2 in the Czech Republic. We love Sapkowski here and we love you CD project too. Keep up such an excellent work and I am looking forward to TW3 and crossing fingers for makig a huge profit for you ;.)

Glad you're happy with crap expansion. No support from either GOG of CD Project with my problem. Game and Patch STILL broken. Consider youself lucky.
Hear Hear!

Outstanding job delivering on this game and all these extras, including the backup system; it works both ways, with new customers being introduced to your excellent web store.

I was wondering if you guys were going to do something like "The Final Hours of Mass Effect 3" or "Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar" for the Witcher 2? I would definitely buy the ebook, app, and/or audiobook discussing the Witcher 2's development.
It's pretty awesome stuff.

Sorry to hear it's not working out for you, drache.

I DID have to re-download the full game and reinstall because I wanted it fast and downloaded the patch before they released the fix for it, but it's great stuff.
I'm currently waiting on someone from the Witcher website support staff to get back to me on issues with the 2.1 stuff that, apparently, has been carried over into the Enhanced Edition, making it not run on my computer and none of the suggestions fix it. When someone gets back to me and the issue gets fixed, then I might be impressed.

Granted, they give the customers alot for their money and seem to be trying really hard to make us happy. But when I had to spend hours on launch day just getting it to run (and having to resort to a buggy, prototype graphics driver that caused crashes),the launcher has never worked consistantly in about of year after it's release, and a patch (2.1) has brought the game to its knees and won't run, I am far from impressed.

Why don't you go and troll in your own threads?

Even as a casual visitor to this forums I have managed to note you are unhappy with something, must you be spreading this in every single thread?
I'm very pleased with the EE, I love the new cutscenes and extra bits of story. The plot has always been the strongest part of this game in my opinion. I had problems with the pre-downloader (fixed them by manually downloading the 2 files) and then with patch 2.1 (fixed by renaming some .dlls). Now the game works perfectly and I have yet to experience a crash.
Apart from the corrupted pre-download, yet another launcher patch problem and the choppy cutscenes (which by the way I fixed with the old d3d.dll fix posted in this forum http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/possible_stutter_fix_worked_for_me_single_gpu ) the game runs fine. I have yet to see any noticable changes to the gameplay, but thanks for putting in a lot of work in an already finished product and providing this for free.

Although it would have nice if you would have put in some free stuff for the users, like me, who purchased the Witcher 2 on gog.com in the first place. A backup copy of the Witcher 1 would be nice (hint hint) ...
Thanks a lot, I had some minor stutter in cutscenes and that fix solved it.
I used pre-download myself and my files were not corrupted.

Just to add my thanks and appreciation for all the goodies given by CD Projekt Red and Gog!

Not only for all the free dlc (e.g. arena and dark mode) to the already awesome game, but for the free back up copy of witcher2 EE, loads of new digital goodies with the gog version, also Witcher 1 at half price, and Gog freebies, I genuinely feel it is outstanding. All drm free as well.

In perspective, this contrasts with some other games where the customer is treated like a (criminal) cash cow! You ARE the very best ! I just wish I had the time to play it all !

Interesting that that everyone down-rated this. Sorry that not everyone is having the amazing experience you guys are having, and that it's killing your euphoric bliss. But when something isn't right in this day and age, you need to make as much noise as possible to make sure that these guys actually fix it and not ignore it.

This guy has been trolling around forums and leaving comments like this every chance he gets. There are right and there are wrong ways of trying to get the problem resolved. He is going about it the wrong way.

Sooner or later you need to give the developer a benefit of the doubt, if there is a developer who deserves it, it would certainly be CDPR. So the only thing I can say at this point that if he IS having problems he should use the proper support process (and there are plenty of those)...

Trolling and leaving offensive notes any chance he gets is not going to do much good now is it?

I haven't checked his history so I don't know what kind of comments he has been leaving nor do I know what experience, if any, he has had with trying to get his problems resolved. So I will just leave that at that.

What personally gets on my nerves is the issue that is preventing the game from working is the same 2.1 issue that has been known for months and the Enhanced Edition has, apparently, done nothing to fix it.

Whether or not these kinds of comments do anything to resolve the issue depends on a few things. First, is CDP actually aware that people are still having this problem? Second, are they actually trying to do anything to fix the problem? If the answer to those questions is no, then it can be an effective way to get results. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease," as the saying goes.

As far as proper channels, the only one that I can think of that can give me the necessary help is the support staff on The Witcher website. I filled out the form and am waiting on a reply. The forums has a sticky on the 2.1 problem, but all the tips lead to no results. In fact, one suggestion involving a .NET cleanup tool messed up my computer and I just recently got it back to normal. There are posts on the forums from tech savy individuals who are doing their best to help, but none of their suggestions work either.

It's blood boiling that a problem like this that has been in existence for this long has not been resolved. It seems that all the "solutions" seem to not involve CDP having to rework their code or telling Microsoft that something in their new .NET Framework is messed up.
I whole heartedly agree! The Witcher 2 simply stunned me with it's graphical beauty, captured me with it's deep story, and thrilled me with fun action.

But there's more - DRM free in the age of treating game customers as dirt.

And now a free backup copy for those who bought elsewhere. Wow.

My thanks is going to be in the form of buying TW1, which I already have on Steam. Have a beer on me guys! =)

Keep it up, am looking forward to TW3!!
