Alright took a nap to see if rest would help. I am still stuck at the aiming the ballistic

It seems like no matter how fast I mash it never fills up fully, though the bar always starts out with a little already filled for some reason. I can only get the bar ever up to about 90% before more soldiers come out, not sure if its buggy or something else, been trying for about an hour now and taking a break again.

Try spamming [SPACE] instead? Someone said it worked for them.

First you defeat the soldiers around it, then crank the ballista and more soldiers spawn, then aim the ballista, and more soldiers spawn... then fire the ballista. It can be... sorry it *is*, brutal until you really get the hang of the combat system. Use the quen and yrden signs to thin them out, then the aard once you are down to the last opponent.

I am having no problem beating the soldiers just cant get the damm thing to aim, not mashing fast enough.

Then maybe try Options-> Gameplay-> uncheck "difficult QTE"

Helped some people with a certain dragon, maybe applies to this thing as well...

All these tips are great!! I got so pissed (at the same point) I came here to relax!!

In the old Witcher I only used Aard and Igni cause the rest were a waste of time...This time around darnit I have to learn all over again ...the bastards!!

This is a harder game till you level up(I hope).. My old Geralt was so buffed and he's using his good swords to start out and that darn expensive Raven Armor too... He's a woose now and has a cold(can hardly hear him(english version) and so pale, emaciated and scarred from head to toe!! He's headed for the HOME.

Thanks for the tips you all, still can t get the bar filled for aiming, always get it to the same point eve with switching out keys.

I am sure I will get it eventually, just is kinda confusing, . Keep any tips coming though please.

Well tried everything I can think of apart from buying a controller, think I am jst having bad luck or something, just cant get the aiming part done.

Thank you all for your tips just wish I could get this thing filled up or should try a new mouse maybe or a contorller -shrugs-

I didn’t have to smash the button that fast, maybe you should try to be regular more than fast.

I just think u have to click each time the cursor blinks, that means 2 clicks per second or something, not any faster

I have tried many ways,, got to the 2nd bay where you dodge the fire,, then,, dead,, then it takes a load more attempts.
My patience is running out VERY quickly. Why put it in when it stops the game ?

I was having fun till this.

You know my mother had the same issue with not being able to click fast enough to get the ballista bars filled. Eventually i changed the difficulty settings for her and had to do the mouse clicking for her too as she just didnt have the reflexes.

Ballista is a breeze,, it's just getting that lucky combination to keep clear of the dragon.
People of all ages are having issues,, I have read other forums where people are saying about it. he fact remains,, there is No Need for it to be like it is, it's a memory of a moment, and I am damn sure that it wouldn't take a tonne of attempts in a Memory to get it right, the memory would be of the "Escape From the Dragon"
