It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

I have an issue with the downloader : the download of The Witcher 2 was at 350 MB / 9723 MB, but after pausing and resuming the download after 5min, it went back at 50 MB / 9723 MB. I got that problem twice now and I'm worrying that this could happen at 90% of the download ><

Are there other GOGers who have the same issue ?

I don't have the same problem but for me it won't even start to download using the GoG Downloader, it doesn't even seem to know what to do when I say add download to GoG download
Yeah, alot of people are using the download manager right now, so it's bound to have problems...just wait it out ;)

Do you have the Downloader running in the background beforehand?

Yes and I've also tried it without it running
Ah i just made post on this doh ye I am experienceing same issue with the downloader I just restarted it and seems to be getting clser to 800mb now gonna be a slow process.
I get to about 90 to 99% the it just stop. tried downloading it with out the downloader but the files stayed as a bin file and were not usable. So I deleted the downloader files and i'm trying again for the third time.
Come on GOG fix this please.
I am having the same problem, I am almost done with the download and it stopped working. Is there any fix for this yet.
Is that not on purpose? I thought the idea was that we couldn't download the final part of the file until release day.

The files are supposed to stay as .bin files. They are containers and it's the .exe who will handle them. Naturally you won't be able to download the .exe that handles those .bin files before the game is actually released ;)
Ahh, so does this mean that I should close the downloader then and what? boot it up again on the 17th? Will I have to re-download all the files again or will it resume from where it's stalled?

I'm d/led 9602mb out of 9723mb at the moment.

I can't tell you how the downloader works exactly in regards to the TW2 because i don't use it, i download everything using my browser

But look at the attached pic, whatvever method you're using to downoad the files, downloader or browser, those are the files you should have at this time at your end. When the game is released on the 17th you'll have to download an aditional .exe file, likely a very small one.

Yeah I closed mine down and re-opened it and it registered that I was most of the way through the download already.

I hit the "pause" button for the download myself just to be safe.

This is what I got with the downloader (see attached image), it seems that the game is separated in 51200 MB files with the extensions .bin.chunk1 .bin.chunk2 .bin.chunk3 etc.

So...can anyone officially confirm that the download stopping (for me at 9602mb) is intended?
