I just don't know....

As far as i can remember it took very long time to finish the first game, and when i finished my first play through for some reason i thought there are going to more like 2 chapters....

What do you think about it?
Don't know. Most reports are 40 - 50 hours. That seems reasonable and about right. I have about 15-20 hours and am still in chapter 1.
I felt it was a reasonably long game. That feeling could be due to the fact that the chapter 3 and epilogue were a bit rushed giving a feeling of "wait what? done?"
am still on 1st chapter too,15 or so hours,i guess a lot depends on your skills at figuring out quests, fighting skills and how much you get involved with the side quests.I;d be dissapointed if i was more than halfway through the game already. If you just blitz through the main plot then your missing loads
yup short 200 hours or so

Really? It took me under 30 hours, total, Iorveth side. All sidequests done, all map explored.

Also, I really took my time to enjoy the view and talk to every NPC, listen to banter, didn't skip cutscenes.

Tbh, 40-50 hours seems a lot of a stretch to me... even for greater difficulties.

Seriously, it's pretty short. Especially Chapter 3.

I have friends that finished it way faster than myself, also doing all sidequests.

The first game was longer, but longer isn't always better. A lot of the first game's length came from tedious fetch quests and doubling back over large areas. Quality over quantity any day.

Also, while one playthrough may run you 35-40ish hours, it has more replay value than the first, since you gain a much deeper understanding of the story from running the game on a different path. the first one, while there were certainly lasting impacts to your decisions, the plot was essentially the same no matter who you sided with.

Totally agree with you here, however that being said, I do with there was another chapter or two to play through... the end just feels rushed to me and it leaves me wanting and unsatisfied.

You are either lying or missed some quests or skipped dialgue, etc. Just not physically possible unless you deliberately sped through.
I think the problem, now that I have gotten there on my Roche run, is that on Iorveth's path, you gt there and it feels natural because you are there on URGENT BUISINESS, dammit! the length feels just right for what you are there to do. Roche's side loses some of that urgency, so the shortness of chapter 3 in terms of side quests feels more out of place. (also, to me it feels like on Iorveth's path I'm saving the world, or at least the Northern Kingdoms, Roche, it feels like I'm watching things go to hell. I actually kinda like this, though, just thinking out loud as it were.) After playing both sides (well, not QUITE done Roche yet, but very close now) I think they write the core plot with Iorveth's side first, then wrote the Roche side to match up/contrast. Roche's side doesn't seem to fit together quite as well, though it does provide additional information, and seems to be better at explaining the political situation, to be sure.

The urgency issue is a very good point; something that I haven't seen discussed much in RPGs. Frankly, I like periods of urgency, but not the whole thing, as I want time to explore

WHT?!?!!?
Are you freakin kidding me?!?! 15 Hours!?!? only for the first chapter?
My conclusion: YOU AREN'T CAEPABLE OF PLAYING PC GAMES!!!

It took me maybe 8 hours the first one after i explored the shit out of it, and did all the side quests, and overall maybe 30 hours ish to finish all the game on hard......
And i didn't miss a single liitle thing, i can promise you.

Overall i agree that the ending seems rushed.... I just don't know why i think that way..... I think i might have been expecting more out of this game?
From your resopnse, now I know that you are just trolling. Obvioulsy, if what you say is true, then you weren't playing the game as intended by the devs and sped through everything.

I'm at somewhere around 20 hours and am only just about to start the kayren fight. I'm quite capable of playing PC games, btw.

Not everyone plays at the same pace.

How did you came to that stupid conclusion?
I did everything there is to do in that game, and if you so slow playing games and get the hang of it doesn't mean that i did something wrong
I am the kind of guy who is anal about looting and doing everything and i tell you it didn't take billion over billon of hours to complete one chapter.
