Hello everyone, just wanted to know if the devs are going to fix/patch some aspects of the game at some point.

Because all the fan made (even FCR2) fixes are extremely buggy.

As this game beautiful as it is could use some tweaking, graphic and gameplay wise.

To be honest, I don't think so, as they're working on Witcher 3 (and thereafter on its patches). If you're very lucky, they provide an overhaul for Witcher 2 with stuff they programmed for Witcher 3 (as they did with the first Witcher when part two was released). But there aren't any infos about something like this yet.

To get some valid information, you'll have to ask directly at CDProject Red whether they're planning on a further patch for Witcher 2 or not.
Here's their e-mail: atw2support {at} cdprojektred.com).

What fixes are you looking for exactly?

I highly doubt we'll see another patch, though.

Well I think it would be awesome if they finished FCR2, you know, make it less buggy and more friendly with other mods, make it right as a team, not some after hours personal project as it is right now.

More control over the character, improved swordplay and why not a little tweaking on the performance, graphics are amazing wouldn't change them a bit, but performance could be greatly improved.

I know they are busy as hell right now (and that's awesome) but as the third game gets closer to release date there are more of us that are replaying the game (and there would be more) and having some tweaks done to the game to make more even the playthrough between 2 and 3 would be great.
FCR 2 is a mod made by Flash before he went to work for CDPR. It isn't their work at all, so no, there is no way they would fix it.

I have been playing FCR 2 for a long time, and it's not noticeably buggy, at least not the 1.2 update, and performance is entirely within reasonable expectations.

Many people who think there are bugs with FCR 2 are unaware that it deliberately makes extensive changes in game mechanics, not just combat but also skills, leveling, rewards, crafting, and potion, mutagen, and trophy effects. These are not bugs but are the mod working as intended. It also means it is not possible to make FCR 2 "play nice" with other mods.

Why should CD Projekt RED "finish" FCR2? It's a fan made mod, not something the developers themselves worked on, I don't see why the devs should meddle with fan made mods. And, bearing in mind they're working on The Witcher 3, The Witcher Adventure Game and CyberPunk 2077, I can't imagine how they would find the time to tweak and improve a game that's now three years old (two, if you're thinking about the Enhanced Edition). Furthermore, The Witcher 2 is a complete experience as it is, same as The Witcher. I'd rather wait for The Witcher 3 and play the prequels as they are right now, than having CDPR waste manpower and time messing around with their old games instead of focusing on the new ones.

Thanks for the info.

If I'm not mistaken Andrzej Kwiatkowski (AKA Flash) is the designer of this mod, AFAIK he is currently working on CDPR.

So it's not that crazy to think they can keep working on it a little more.

He completed that work before CDPR hired him. No, it's not their work, they don't own it, they get nothing from it, so it would indeed be crazy to devote resources to it when they have set themselves one bitch of a deadline for TW3.

Despite the mod maker now works for CD Project, it would still be stupid of them to work and give resources on a fan made mod, no reason for them to officially support that mod.

As to the topic on hand, I highly doubt you will see any other patches for Witcher 2. They already improved performance through patches in the past, and current performance is good enough to play the game.
