So, after TW2 hit the $29 price point, I finally broke down and treated me to the game. Download and install worked smoothly (yay, a HUGE improvement to the mess I had on my hands when I had to update my retail Witcher 1 to Enhanced Edition) but now I'm having quite a hard time actually playing the game.

It runs fine on my somewhat old machine (AMD x64, Win7, 3Gigs of Ram, ATI Radeom HD 5780) in 1280*1024, which is my monitor's native resolution.

But I can hardly read the UI texts, be it loot lists, the combat log or the small help messages that pop up on the right from time to time, because the font is too small. I'm using a 19-inch LCD flatscreen and the print is really miniscule.

Is there an option to increase UI font size? I can't imagine upping the resolution even further, how's that working on, say, a 1080p HDTV?
The only way currently is via a mod:

I haven't used it, but from all reports it works OK.
Thanks. I wonder when devs will adress this.
3D pictures seems easier to do than big DPI texts.

This mod has already good comments for spanish users. I am going to use the mod too, with spanish and english text and put the feedback here.

Well, works perfect but the letters are HUGE (for my 19" monitor in 1440x900)

It's interesting you find it too small, I'd have said it was too big personally (1920x1200@24", so a similar dpi to you). Are you viewing it from farther away than normal (2-3m)?

Assuming the text is sized in pixels as is usually the case then dropping the resolution will make it larger. Unfortunately you've got one of the awkward 1280x1024 screens that are a slightly different shape to any other resolution, but the distortion at 1024x768 or 800x600 shouldn't be too noticeable.

Seeing how they had almost half a year to do something - and did absolutely nothing - in the matter of the UI despite many complaints, my guess would be "never".
