It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

TheEnigmaticT: Yow. That's a fast download!
It will be even faster in a few days when BT upgrade me to 78dl/19ul :P.

TheEnigmaticT: It's fairly uncommon; it seems that it's one file somewhere in the entire CDN. They're working at updating the entire CDN cache, but a small percentage of users--which, when you're talking about 1.1 million copies of a game is still a large absolute number--have gotten a bad download. Apparently, they have a fix now and you will not need to redownload the entire game, but rather just a few files from it.

StonerPimp: Unfortunatly i had already deleted the entire game and started the download of the GOG backup verison instead :( - lol.

Luckily i have 40dl/10ul fibreopic broadband so i'm 75% done already.
You are not alone on this one. LUckily it's already merging game files xD
Well, the fix worked for me. This was an unfortunate turn of events, but kudos to CDPR and GoG for turning this around on such a short notice. When you look at Sword cough ...Stars cough 2, this all seems minor. :)

Vitor121796: What if your launcher is broken and not showing any text? Will it solve that also?
avatar
TheEnigmaticT: I think rebooting your PC should fix that, according to another poster.
Hasn't helped and despite manually downloading parts 0 and 1, the patch won't install because I 'haven't selected an installation language'. Nor can I as the box won't let me click on it.

Hm. That sounds outside the usual array of issues that have cropped up. I'd suggest putting in a ticket to Support and also hopping over to RED's forums and seeing if anyone there has had a similar problem and solved it.

BT infinity matey, however as said in the other post my area is in the upgraded BT infinty 2 area so i will have 78/19 in a day or 2 as a free upgrade.
This is getting rather tragicomic for me. Since the first patching attempt failed and launcher seemed to have broken completely, I did uninstall the game completely and tried to install the game again from the boxed version and then patch it again. Turns out my Witcher 2 Game DVD number 2 is about 100 kilometers away from me and I just tried to install it from the bonus dvd...

Freelance: Any chance of getting MD5 checksums of the correct files to verify them?
avatar
TheEnigmaticT: I don't have 'em, but you can ask RED on their forums.
I posted a list of the preload MD5s here. I only have an MD5 for a corrupt patch-1.bin, though.

Claim your free backup on GOG and download it from us?

Got exactly the same problem.
Just to be clear: It's Part 1 and 2, not Part 0 and 1

I downloaded 0, 1 and 2 just to be safe and I have the language problem. Downloading English voiceovers again now, if it says I have to download French and German too I might go insane.
