Matt7895: So nobody at GOG.com or CDPR tested this? I mean, how hard was it to download an old GOG Copy and patch it with the EE installer?

I wouldn't be annoyed if this was just a minor glitch that could be fixed with a new installer, but it looks like it's already messed up my install and I really don't fancy downloading a 20gb game again...
Yeah, if this is affecting everyone, then this is a huge oversight and not a simple 'server load' problem that couldn't be avoided really. I don't see how this isn't tested beforehand, especially with the push GOG is making with The Witcher 2 (giving out free copies to Steam owners etc.).

TheEnigmaticT: Apparently there is one file on one server somewhere on the CDN that is corrupt. As such, this is kind of impossible to track down. RED will post a fix shortly for the corrupt file.

EDIT: Its already fixed. http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/. And I got ninja'ed to boot.
but which file it is? Part 1?

1 and 2 apparently

Vitor121796: What if your launcher is broken and not showing any text? Will it solve that also?
I think rebooting your PC should fix that, according to another poster.

Any chance of getting MD5 checksums of the correct files to verify them?
If your launcher is broken go to Users\...\Documents\Witcher 2\Downloads (or something like that) run downloader.exe. If you have "good" TW2EE_Patch-1.bin it will patch the game again.

It's fairly uncommon; it seems that it's one file somewhere in the entire CDN. They're working at updating the entire CDN cache, but a small percentage of users--which, when you're talking about 1.1 million copies of a game is still a large absolute number--have gotten a bad download. Apparently, they have a fix now and you will not need to redownload the entire game, but rather just a few files from it.
Downloading Patch-1 and Patch-2 from that manual download site. Will post here if it works.

I don't have 'em, but you can ask RED on their forums.

are you sure it's not 0 (.exe) and 1 (TW2EE_Patch-1)?

Just manually downloaded both those files and still have the same issue.
Downloading part 1 and 2 solved the issue for me. Thanks.
